"The property was wonderful to stay at, some of the most friendly and helpful staff I've come across at any of the all-inclusives I've been to. Property was clean, modern and maintained daily. Food was tasty, however, all of the restaurants don't open every night, so make sure to check their schedules before planning where you want to eat on which nights of your stay. Drinks variety was also pretty great. It was a quieter hotel than other RIUs I've stayed at, but very relaxing. There were daily shuttles however, to parties happening at a nearby RIU hotel which were open and free to guests of this hotel. It's also a relatively compact hotel, in that, you don't have much walking to get from your room to the restaurants, bars, pools or beach. And as far as I could see from the shore, it was the the only hotel clearing out sargassum throughout the day for every day I was there, which is awesome. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a quieter vacation. One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t offer a lot of entertainment or nightlife activities on-site. If you’re looking for a lively party scene or busy evening entertainment, this may not be the best fit. However, it’s within walking distance of Coco Bongo and several other nightclubs, so it’s easy to enjoy Cancun’s nightlife if you want to. The hotel is very family-oriented, and the kids’ club is fantastic—fun, engaging, and full of activities for children. The food was delicious, the facilities were beautiful, and everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent service, wonderful amenities, and a peaceful environment, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in Cancun. We would definitely return!"

"Good not great. The food was overall high quality, but it did get slightly old after a few breakfasts/lunches. The rooms have evidence that they once were top-of-the-line but have since fallen out of vogue. Not an unenjoyable stay, but there are far better resorts to spend your vacation at. We did have some phenomenal service at the restaurants and bars, with Pablo at the Mediterranean restaurant being a specific bright spot."

"Had the most amazing time here! Food was great and the servers and bartenders were so attentive! Big shout out to our bartender Christian he would find us wherever we were and knew our drink order by the second day and he was just so amazing! Also our bartender inside Barilla made us feel at home and made us new drinks we had never tried that were delicious! There were two other ladies that were bartenders inside by the lobby but I don’t remember their names but they were sweet and made great conversation with us! Overall unforgettable experience!!"

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

"The overall property is good. Unfortunate timing had a lot of seaweed on the beach (obviously uncomfortable by the hotel) but did dampen the trip. Upgraded to a room with a balcony that I didn’t use and also joined the preferred club for my trip. Also didn’t use. The staff is very accommodating for all needs. The pools were clean. Alcohol could’ve been stronger when ordering cocktails. The culinary specific restaurants were good. The buffet was okay. The Hyatt company that owns the resort will advertise a membership program that allows premium usage to their other resorts (basically a timeshare just a bit different) with an incentive of $300 of “leisure cash” to be used on certain things after the sales pitch. Unfortunately, single men do not qualify for this reward and was not made known to me prior to attending the sales pitch. I was offered nothing in return for abusing my time because I didn’t qualify for the reward. For my first all inclusive resort, I was disappointed but I do believe this is a decent place to stay. I wouldn’t stay here again though."
