"Amazing place by the lake with excellent views. Room was a good size with a sofa and a balcony overlooking the lake. Very peaceful, near the two gondolas and Hakone Shrine."
"A really nice hotel with really helpful staff. The rooms were a great size, with comfortable beds and private bathroom. For the price I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area"
"It was great experience for family trip and no surprises, but there are few things to improve.
1. Booking via Expedia is lacking communication. (Booked BBQ, but Sukiyaki was prepared)
2. Neighbor group was very noisy until 1am.
Thank you."
"Definitely accommodation suited for holiday makers with a car. Facilities were immaculate. Limited dining options but able to walk 6-7 minute to train station to Hakone for dinner. Bus 4-5 minutes. "

"The staff were exceptional! Professional and had paid attention to detail. Onsen was such an experience!! Very clean facilities, amenities were amazing, well kept hotel despite its history. Definitely avail for the free shuttle bus from Odawara station in Hakone to your hotel and back but make sure you do a reservation for this especially if you are traveling with luggage. Message Ryuguden hotel through Expedia for reservations. If you travel
Light or miss the shuttle bus, there is local transportation service that will stop near the hotel.

"I never experienced this type of service or hotel before. This was my first time being in a 5-star hotel and it honestly blew my mind. The place was amazing, the staff were very courteous and super friendly, and the food was incredible! Higly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go back to it if i have another chance. Thank you for everything, TEN-YU!"

"The pictures online don’t do the surrounding area justice. It’s tucked in a beautiful woodsy area. The staff was okay. Their attitude was a bit underwhelming. We knew we couldn’t go to them if we needed something or had questions. There was definitely a huge language barrier which made it hard to understand the amenities. We were very confused about how the women and men’s baths worked. We understood that from a certain time in the morning women were allowed and then men after?? So we thought it was a unisex bath?? I don’t really know it wasn’t explained well and we didn’t know if tattoos were excepted. We ended up just using our private one in our room which was nice. The room and hotel itself seems a bit old and run down. Also, we had a huge room and the bathroom was SUPER small. The smallest we’ve seen since our stay here in Japan. It was nice for a night but I wouldn’t spend the money on more than one night here. I think it’s something to experience just for the private bath in the room for a night maybe two."
