"This is our third trip to this hotel. What I noticed was it was more crowded. Instead of an easy access to go to breakfast or dinner , there is a QR code to make breakfast and dinner reservations. It was difficult for me since the QR code was not in English and ai had problems using this format. We didn't try the onsen , but decided on getting a room with an outdoor hot tub. Also when we were leaving, I sent the luggage by QR code only with the help of the reception staff. It should make things easier, but I beg to differ. This hotel has become a little too popular, more people than I would like. The food at the buffet remains the same. Nothing spectacular. "

"This is the best hotel if you want to experience Japanese style food, living, and convenience to Hakone mountain. They provided everything you needed like Japanese clothes, inside decoration, service, etc. They also have a free shuttle to Gora station. The in room onsen is great and you will not find it in any hotel. There is a private elevator directly taking you to Sounzan cable car station, unbelievable! The included breakfast and dinner are unforgivable, very Japanese, delicious, it was also served in a private room. "

"This hotel was okay just that no more no less. The scenery it is in does all the heavy lifting, absolutely stunning area right on the lake. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. It was clean. It was however dated. The carpet was looking tired. The door sliders stuck. The plumbing in the bathroom made strange noises whilst showering. The "

"Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance."

"The TEN-YU was an exceptional experience. The staff recieve you as if you just arrived home. The whole ambience is of relaxation and de stressing. Enjoyed a fabulous aromatherapy massage at the onsite AnSpa, which was in the most serene location. The Tepanyaki dinner was something else!! Beautifully prepared starters and delicious cuts of the best Kobe beef. We were able to unwind immediately from a long trip and made it a stay i will never forget!!!"
