The hotel provides free shuttle from Gora station. I hope the hotel should informed us that the entrance of the hotel is on the fifth floor of Family mart. My room is clean with a beautiful view of the wood. But they also have an onsen for guests as well. The room provides yukata robe and own hot tub and hot spring water. The dinner and breakfast buffets were one of the best I ever had. I bought a Hokone 2 day ride from Odakyu so I took the bus to Gotemba after I checked out and had a great time shopping there. I just left today and already missed the place. I will definitely plan to come back and stay longer next time.

Nice resort. Super good service in the hotel and restaurant. There was calmness inside the hotel that was really nice, especially after spending a few days in Tokyo. The onsen and dining experience were the highlights. I was lucky to have stayed two nights to experience both floors of onsen. Being in the outdoors bath while it was drizzling was a beautiful experience. The location may not be ideal for those who like to walk to restaurants and shops. Not much around it. But the public transportatuon is good and the hotel has a shuttle that runs regularly in the morning and afternoon.

We had a wonderful time and the public onsen areas were beautiful. My own negative experience was in the kaiseki dining portion - the first night was an easy 10/10 eating in a small private room with a wonderful server who happily explained each course. But the next night, which happened to be on my birthday, was about a 4/10 - sat at a table near the buffet line, having multiple courses placed on our table at once because they mistimed the meal and was told "so sorry" repeatedly after being ignored by the server for over 30 minutes - multiple times...was so disappointed.

Only bad thing I can say is there’s limited dining options at this hotel and if you go into town, you have to make it to catch the last shuttle to get back to hotel or you’re left with using the public bus or taxi

The property, facilities and staff were incredible. The onsen was a cultural highlight of our trip. These facilities were stunning and the most relaxing spa experience I’ve ever had. The outdoor pool fills from a waterfall with hot springs water. I got to enjoy the indoor hot springs pool (there are two), the sauna, cold plunge and outdoor springs. I also enjoyed the showers with every skin care and hair care product one needs. Our family took a walk from the hotel to a short waterfall hike. The only reason I did not give this hotel a 5 star rating is the food quality. The presentation of the food was worthy of 5 stars, however, the food itself was a tremendous disappointment, especially for the cost. Every other place we visited in Japan, we enjoyed quality meals at reasonable prices. Here, we spent $100 per person for a dinner that was a major disappointment. Additionally, breakfast, which we paid extra for, was another disappointing meal. Even the eggs which were incredibly well cooked everywhere else in Japan (including 7-11) were overcooked to the point of being inedible here. If the hotel rooms, facilities and staff weren’t as impressive as they were, I would have removed more stars for the food situation.

Just stunning!!! The service was over the top. The Breakfast and the Dinner with lobster was ***** star. Only downfall was the bus to the hotel. Very confusing. We needed to take the tozan bus because we couldn’t find the stop. Once we found the stop the last bus had left.

We love staying at Ten-Yu the bath house was amazing, the restaurants and lounge too. The best service. Our kids love it and we will stay again here when we come back. Such a wonderful place.

This was our very first trip to Japan. We stayed 9 nights in Tokyo and 1 night in Hakone. Our time at Ten-Yu was the highlight of our entire trip. We are a family of 4. On the day of arrival to Hakone it was pouring. While check in is after 3pm, we decided to use Yunessun water park before our check in. There’s a walkway that connects the hotel to the water park but we the gentleman at the entrance drove us to Yunessun for free! All staff at Ten-Yu were courteous and friendly. The amenities such as the private hotsprings bath on your balcony can’t be beat. After dinner, we strolled the garden area which is lit up and we enjoyed a foot bath outside of the main lobby. We absolutely loved everything about our stay!!

This place is quite remote. The hot springs were nice. The food was nice but it’s served at the restaurant not in the room. The small shower in our room had bad smell and our room was had some wear & tear shown. However, the hotel itself is beautiful & good hot springs experience overall.

Very helpful and kind staff.Great facility with big public onsens which are well maintained.Every room has their own hot spring water bathtub in balcony!! Good variety of food. They offer shuttle which helps a lot since not many places walking distance. Thank u for a great and relaxing stay.
