"The hotel is a wonderful oasis in Hakone, very quiet and serene. The rooms are comfy, it has a toilet, shower and an onsen. Theres also a public onsen which is beautiful and the restaurant is in both the main building and the annex. Theres free drinks at certain times, you use the yukatas provided, so many amenities. "Looking for an experience? Our stay at Hakone Fuga was oozing with Japanese authenticity and traditional charm. Spacious room for a family of 4 and the private onsen on our balcony was a welcoming site after days of walking the streets of Osaka nd Kyoto! While a bit remote, we loved our stay at Hakone Fuga."

"The owner greeted us and provided a tour of the premises when we arrived at 4pm. Dinner was served at 6pm. So it is possible to have a brief onsen if you arrive on time. Note, the onsens are separated by gender and switch each day. One is double the size of the other. So, it worth trying both. It is a truely authentic experience. The cuisine was also traditional Japanese meals. The service was extraordinary. Make sure to book dinner and breakfast in advance. Note, the clientele is mainly Japanese nationals, which a clear indication that this lodging and hot spring experience is are one of a kind. We left with a few kimono that were available to purchase at a reasonable price. We hope to come back as both the owner and his wife, and all the staff were absolutely lovely! Thank you again."
