"The stay at Couscous was absolutely spot on! Beautiful glamping resort in the quiet town of Manazuru. It has good connection links to the main station if odawara. Perfect for exploring the Hakone region of Japan. The tents were very well equipt with fans, heating, usb's. Outside there was incredible decking areas with BBQs, and a large table and chairs. The site itself was extremely clean and the toilet and shower areas were always spotless and very modern. Overall I would 100% recommend this...

The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. "Property is very nice. Rooms are very large for Japanese rooms. The staff in the reception area were nice but at the same time gave a weird vibe. The hotel itself had a stuffiness of “old money” . Even though the restaurant in the hotel was well reviewed we had a bad experience there. Drinks were messed up as was the servicing of the food. The experience was not good at all. To the point that we cancelled the second reservation that we had in the Japanese restaurant at the hotel. We all got massages and those were very good. Overall, had hoped for a better experience considering it was a five star hotel."
