I was originally worried because of the lack of reviews on Expedia, but the hotel was truly very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet and clean, and the hotel is right across the street from a 7-11, so you can get meals there if you need to. Transportation was a little tough, as there was not many trains, but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which was convenient.

Amazing stay. Food and service was perfect. My wife is vegetarian and they were so accommodating. The view from the private onsen was great.

This place is incredible! Truly beautiful and serene. The staff were so kind and made you feel special. The cabins are gorgeous, and the food was delicious. I truly hope to come back for longer next time.

The property is super clean and well keeped. Everyone is extremely friendly and the food is really good. I was surprised with all the staff attitude from beginning when I arrived (from the driver to the house staffs) I would love to see a varity of dinning menu in the future. Susukinohara Ichinoyu was a lovely treat for us! Hakone was so different from the frenetic energy in Tokyo. There were many other resorts in the area, but were unable to accommodate our group of 17. Our ryokan was so peaceful and serene and the private room Onsen for each family was the icing on top. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This hotel is exceptional. We absolutely loved staying here and wish we were here longer. The property and staff were amazing. Food amazing. Amenities amazing. Transportation is convenient to the bus lines which is easy within Hakone itself. We opted for taxi from Odawara station to the hotel. Saved us soooo much energy and chaos trying to get on and off the bus with luggage. I want to head back here again with our family. So so so so so amazing

I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted give one to this place. I enjoyed every part of the experience of this ryokan. The place has a rustic traditional look. The dinning experience was fantastic dinner and breakfast was amazing and the open onsen was beautiful. Staff were sincere and nice. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

The place is far from the major attractions but you do not book this place for that. The room is great and having an Onsen at your reach is amazing for relaxing.
