"Buffet was okay; not as great as the hotel buffets I’ve been to. Staff was wonderful; Lupita at the pool serving drinks was a doll! Only 2 staff members who were rude on separate occasions (one at waitress at Hibachi restaurant and one bartender pool side). Beach was full of sargassum. Very sad and disappointing. We intentionally booked a hotel on the beach as it’s super convenient with kids and we love spending 80% of our time on the beach. I know of other people who visited the same area but stayed at a different hotel and they were able to swim in the beach so I don’t know if this particular hotel doesn’t want to go through the cost and hassle to clear the sargassum. There were MOUNTAINS of it. Make sure you LOCK your balcony door. The animals are able to open them. :/ Kids club and ladies there were amazing with my son. They offer to play with the children, show them how to play games, and make crafts. Sooo sweet. This is a great hotel if you love huge resorts (I do not) and if you are looking for a budget friendly resort. Definitely not up to par to others in the area. Although the rooms were kept clean and the staff was wonderful, I would not stay here again."

"Excellent location in Playa del Carmen city, food is very good at the resort, quiet atmosphere. Bars do not open until 11am, and the sidewalks are rolled up early at night, very small beach area, and the sargassum has a high impact on this location."

"We loved it here. There were a lot of pools and they were all clean and it was very easy to find a secluded pool somewhere away form the main pirate ship pool where you could have a quiet pool day. The rooms were very clean. The air conditioning in the room got nice and cold but the air in there was a little damp. Food was very good. All inclusive family concierge is definitely the way to go."

"This was our second time staying at Hyatt Vivid we absolutely love this place it is not only beautiful but the evening/daytime entertainment is so fun and all the staff are so friendly and helpful!! We love that the resort is a walking distance to the downtown area where you can go shop or try one of the local restaurants! Book here you won’t regret it!"
