"Overall, our stay at RIU Caribe was very good. We enjoyed the resort, the atmosphere, and our evenings there. Everything was good overall, but our experience with reception needs improvement. Before and after our arrival, I was trying to make some changes to our reservation, but it was nearly impossible to get in contact with reception by phone. When my family arrived, the young woman with glasses who assisted us at check-in was extremely arrogant and seemed to be on a power trip in the way she spoke to both me and my wife. Unfortunately, she was the only reception employee who assisted us during our stay, so I cannot speak about the rest of the reception staff. After checking in, we tried calling reception from our room many times, but no one answered. Later, the same employee repeatedly called our room because she had forgotten to charge us for something during check-in. I answered her call immediately. It was frustrating that when the hotel needed something from us, they were able to reach our room, but when we needed assistance, we could not get anyone to answer. When I asked her why our calls were not being answered, she explained that the hotel gives the reception staff too much work and that they normally have a staff member dedicated to answering phone calls, but management had not yet filled that position. I can understand being understaffed and having a heavy workload, but that should not become the guest's problem or affect the way guests are treated."

"Me and my family had a wonderful time here at this beautiful resort. All the staff were so kind and willing to help whenever needed. Food is 10/10 as well, lots of varieties to choose from. Loved how engaging the resort was from many different activities to entertainment shows. Such a great experience will be visiting again."

"Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but honestly, my group had fun because of US and the energy we brought, not because the resort provided enough entertainment. The Bash Tower room was nothing special, and I could have just kept the Trendy room. For a resort with this type of reputation, there definitely needs to be more entertainment and activities to keep the energy going. Also, be aware there is a $400 security deposit PER ROOM, which I found ridiculous. I’ve stayed at resorts in the Dominican Republic and Jamaica and never had to pay a security deposit like that. You aren’t just a basic hotel—you’re a resort, so act accordingly. The food was great, and that was definitely one of the highlights. Overall, we made the best of our trip and had a great time together, but as far as the resort itself goes, I’m not sure I would come back."

"I love my stay in Aquamarina. The staff was nice and very helpful. The location is excellent because it has restaurants across the street, it’s right next to a money exchange place and tours agency. A pharmacy is nearby and you can take the red public bus to downtown Cancun and beaches. The ferry terminal is also 5 min walking distance. The hotel has access to both pools and the beach. I enjoyed the fact that the beach was quiet and clean. I will definitely stay here again."
