It’s not a fancy hotel, but it has what we were looking for: great location, private beach, clean rooms, good food ( very Mexican style), nice pool for the young ones, and friendly staff. What we saved on this hotel, we spent it on tours! It’s a good choice for practical and non picky people. If you’re looking for a hotel with the basics, this will meet your expectations. "Emporio offers the best food quality among all all-inclusive resorts I've ever tasted."

"I'm sure this is a lovely resort, but we were unable to go because the Cartel and Mexican police were at war the day before our arrival. We called this resort and a rep named Cole advised us not to come b/c violence was only 5 miles away. He said Hilton made a blanket decision that all cancellations would receive a 100% refund. Three weeks later, we still haven't seen a dime. Expedia is dragging their feet saying the hotel will not return their calls and emails for approval. I find that hard to believe. My only choice is to share with others about this horrible Expedia experience."

"This hotel is really good. The staff is amazing, Reina at the front desk, Claudia at the coffee shop and Chef Ernesto really tried their best to make us feel appreciated. I like the food variety at the Buffet. There are 4 restaurants and tge food was good. Overall everything was great. The only things I would improve are the recreation activities and the rooms need a makeover. However everything was cleaned. I strongly recommend this hotel"
