Only snag might be due to translation errors, where when booking it seems as though you are booked for a dinner, but it doesn't actually reserve the meal. "Amazing experience at this traditional Japanese hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The private onsen was very relaxing, and worth paying the extra money if you are not comfortable getting into the public onsen naked. The best was the Japanese style dinner and breakfast! It was beautifully presented and delicious! Getting to the hotel from Hakone is quite a commute but we loved it and would recommend to anyone travelling to that area!"

"Our favorite stop by far. The kids adored the place and the owners, it’s like staying with loving grandparents. A very traditional, authentic Japanese household with natural hot springs, and traditional bath robes provided. The fixtures are in their original state, they reflect the history of a family that have shared their way of life with wondering guests throughout the years. The breakfast was very traditional and generous, we enjoyed it with green tea and sitting on the floor with low table. Very grateful for this experience. We will definitely recommend and return."
