"The perfect stay for us for a night. The onsens weee beautiful, both public and private. It wasn’t too busy, so most of the public ones even ended up being private anyway. They were also all tattoo friendly. The staff was so sweet and very friendly! You could tell it was an older hotel, so some of the areas could smell a tad musty, but it was a fantastic value for the price. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the zen room was a must visit. Definitely would stay again. "

"I would definitely stay at this hotel just for the amazing Mt. Fuji views from the terrace. It is a nice property but certainly can use a refresh in the rooms and making the bathroom little bigger. The property is located on a small hill near the lake and they offer shuttle service that you have to book in advance. I wish they offer this more frequently. Finally, I wish the offer coffee and tea service in the afternoon after their main dining is closed. "

"Very dated hotel with questionable cleanliness (plenty of hair in the floor in ladies changing room, weird yellow spots on the carpet across all room, etc.) but spacious room with beautiful hot water onsen - both huge indoor and outdoor area. Stayed one night in May 2025. Acceptable for one time due to busyness’s (golden week weekend) and last minute booking, but otherwise will not recommend and won’t come back. "We were only here for one night so we didn’t get experience the public bath. But the service was extremely great. The room was exactly what we wanted to experience…Japanese style but yet we still have our private bath and shower. I will definitely recommend to others. Only hope we can wake up to see the fuji Mountain view but we didn’t cuz of my room’s location I’m guessing. Will definitely return."

"Very enjoyable stay in Hakone. All the staff were very helpful the hotel onsen and private onsen on our balcony were bliss! I wish l had realised we could have got a train to Gora station and then ask for the hotel to send a car to pick us up. The shuttle is less frequent "

"The property was perfectly located by the lake surrounded by nature and within walking distance to buses, the ropeway and cruise ships. Our twin room with open air bath was exceptionally clean and our room, along with the rest of the property, had all the amenities you needed, of a high standard. The only downside were the meals. Being a little isolated, the accommodation rate includes a breakfast and dinner buffet, however despite the extensive menu, they fail to provide any hot vegetable dishes… not ideal for non meat eaters. Regardless, we still recommend a stay at this beautiful spot on the lake."
