"You can tell that the property was nice at one time, but over the years it has become a little run down. In my room there were pieces of plaster falling off the wall, the shower was old and dirty, air coming through the patio door. Everything in my room was painted white, but you could tell that only half the wall had been recently painted while the other half needed to be painted. The same for the dresser that was in the room. The mini-freg looked like is was about 20 years old and definitely needed to be replaced. The staff was great. After spending 5 days in Cancun and viewing all of the other hotels available, The Cyan is probably in the worst condition of them all."

"I loved this property, here are my pros and cons. The main con was that I’m use to adults only resorts and this one was filled with families and lots of children. The resort had 2 pools, the main one had most the activities and more lively. That was also because that’s where the kids splash pad was. Unfortunately the main pool was filled with snacks from the children eating. The second pool was called the chill pool and it was quiet with minimal kids (be sure to bring a speaker if you would like some entertainment on that side. The property itself was very clean and well kept!! I would recommend it to my friends with kids and family members. I really enjoyed the added hookah at a premium and Hilton coconuts pool side (paid extra for them). We updated our room to the ocean view king size "

"Very family friendly, but also good for couples. Facilities were great, but the staff was truly outstanding! Easy to beach and located in a great spot. "

"Rooms are clean. Staffs are helpful. Outdoor pool is great. All the food are great. But i felt like alcoholic drinks are weak 😅"

"Clean property. Wait staff amazing. Management could work ok flexibility when you have a late flight out. They stop allowing you to use the facilities after 5. Entertainment poor at this resort, you need to be shuttled and it’s for younger people. No showsike Michael Jackson, fire shows ect "

"Overall this was a clean property and a great location- close to the downtown attractions. The food selection was good, as long as you get a reservation for all your nights. The buffet was OKAY but repeated some of the options over and over. I didn’t like my room much and I’m not sure why they give Expedia customers the least desired rooms. Since it was on the first level, It was full of cockroaches. room 116. We had an obstructed view of the ocean, since part of the resort building/structure blocker our view. I honestly think that because we were Hispanic our room wasn't the best as the rest of the guest. Mind you we stayed for 6 nights "
