The resort is very nice and clean...Friendly staff, good landscaping. Little further away from the hotel zone and amenities. Very limited food options and choice of cuisine. I can't believe they still try to sell you a timeshare in this day and age. Although I paid extra for resort view room, I was given a room close to the road and was noisy at night. Hotel manager didn't respond when my kids became sick before the trip and wanted to postpone or cancel booking. Expedia was willing to help but not the property manager. Overall only 3 stars considering the many choices in Cancun.

Our housekeeper Juana was exceptional, our room was good, but the service at the restaurant La Palapa was terrible. We tip everyone but they seemed miserable and where we eat with the service is important to us. We made reservations at the Italian restaurant and their service was great. There was no music by the pool or entertainment by the pool. The bartenders were short handed and were not friendly. The gym was very small with two treadmills, two bikes, two elliptical, and one rower. The bellmen were very kind. Paula, the hostess at the restaurant was very rude. We made shuttle trips to Royal Sands to get treated nicer.

The room was very spacious and clean. The room service was very fast. I felt very safe at the resort with my family and we even went for a little walk outside the resort to see the Christmas lights. The view of the ocean while eating at La Palapa was spectacular. I love the free shuttle to and from the Royal Sands resort, which has clear blue waters unlike the Royal Cancun. This leads me to the water at the Royal Cancun where there’s a ton of seaweeds or grass that made the water dirty. The employees were all very friendly but I specifically want to give a shout out to Jesus (waiter at Italian restaurant), Alfredo and Miguel (waiters at La Palapa), Jeremiah (works by entrance), Omar and the girl who were in charge of games and activities for their kindness and generosity. With that being said there were a few things that left us a little disappointed. Our concierge Soccoro was friendly however she was quite pushy and kept bugging us even we made it clear we weren't interested. The lack of variety on the food left a sour taste. We were there for 7 days and after awhile we got tired eating the same thing for breakfast. The dinner buffet does change daily but the quality was poor which left us very disappointed. Lunch was the only time we can order of the menu but again their options were limited. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely love to come back.

If you get there in an early flight don’t expect them to have a room ready. They will make you wait hours for a room. Staff not friendly at all. A simple hello would’ve be good. Food was good, some nights were hard to get your drinks served.

Older property, clean but worn. It was a good deal for the price. Food was ok, food service wasn’t very good, lots of kids.. beach wasn’t great but the pools were nice. As soon as you are walked to your room, the concierge sat you down and pushed you to go to a time share presentation which was ridiculous. Again, not bad for the price but, be prepared they all push for tips but don’t really do anything extra. This will be my last trip to Mexico.

Rooms very clean and spacious suites makes it a great option! Food is great and you can go to Royal sands as well. Reservations for restaurant were tough to get. We couldn’t eat at any place! Likely we were during a very busy week!

The information shared on expedia ir even their own website is false. They claim 4 restaurants, 4 bars and other facilities. The coorect information is that at All Villas, they have 1 all day restaurant and 1 italian restaurant for dinner service plus 1 bar. There are other facilities offered at their sister concern with a free 20 something minutes shuttle. The breakfst buffet is okay withe the cold bar being the hilite along with the omelet station and pancakes, waffels etc. Rest of the items are in my opinion not serveable. Lunch menu is limited options and unless you are tipping the staff the service is poor in all times. Dinner buffet is subpar. Half the food items can either be put in one dish or thrown away. By 9pm the buffet starts running out of the dishes and they start putting in what ever they can find. Make the buffet smaller - instead of 3 different vegetables in 3 dishes - carrots, zucchini etc put them in one. Use things that are actually edible, chicken breast is not menat for buffets, it dries up. Shredded vhicken breast is even worst. I can go on but then I would have to charge you a consultation fee.

El personal de limpieza muy deshonesto, dejé unas prendas olvidadas en un cajón y solo reportaron muy poca al otro día. Hice el reclamo por vía telefónica para pasar por mi propiedad olvidada y me robaron más de la mitad de mis prendas, me entregaron muy poca ropa, se quedaron con mis trajes de baño

The location was great in terms of accessibility. We could bus up and down the hotel strip, walk to local shops, and church. The hotel cleanliness was good, a lot of tile so I would hope it would be easier to clean. Beds firm firm :| We faced the street which did have water views, but let me tell you this, you can hear EVERYTHING outside. We had a few bad weather days, rain came through windows and sliding doors. For a concrete building you felt everything. The food was great, the staff was friendly. It is a quiet property, a lot of Timeshare 40+ years so pretty quiet after 10pm. You can head over to the sister property, but the shuttle was down a few days and they have so many rules. If you are going there for the day, making the show and eating at a late dinner reservation you will need a change of clothes. There are showers semi private, but doable. Things change quick there, staff tells you one thing and it happens another way. Shows canceled, come down to the shuttle 30 mins, wait 28 then told the shuttle is down. The theme food menu isn’t consistent, but the food is always fresh. There is NO dancing. No music for you to enjoy and vibe unless from the hotel next door. The silent party was canceled due to bad weather. I’m not sure we will be back, but we really did have a great time with the staff who actually cared to stop and ask how you are doing. A solid 7/10

The room space was perfect! I was not happy with the food at all there is buffet for dinner but no flavor at all. I got sick from the food. Very disappointed with the lunch menu always the same at the main restaurant. Want to give a shout out to Carlos that works at the swim up bar he has all the vibes. Very friendly and got all drinks right.

Just had an amazing stay at the Royal Cancun. Our needs were met at every interaction. The pools are warm and small for young swimmers, there were always beach and pool loungers available, the ocean was quiet and safe to explore. The food was good and all of our menu changes (4 picky children) were done without any negativity from the staff. The staff were always kind and welcoming and thankful. The rooms were large and still cozy. Having access to a full kitchen was such a treat, and four beds to use was awesome. Very much picturing our next holiday there because it was that nice.
