"We only saw turtles when we went out of the resort and paid for the guides. The food from the buffet and room service gave us a tummy ache everyday unfortunately. The drinks were okay, there was not a lot to do to be honest. We had a decent time though and the staff was always there to help."

With four bedrooms in the main home, a large living/dining area, large well-equipped kitchen, an ocean-view backyard, and a large west-facing pool, it had everything we needed to both relax and entertain the kids for a week. The home was very well maintained, with large kitchen appliances, new power outlets, flawless internet connection, and comfortable TV room. The caretakers were welcoming and friendly. And, property management from Akumal Direct was superb from booking all the way through the conclusion of our stay."

The food was consistently amazing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs—especially the kids. By the end of the trip, they honestly felt like part of our family.The home itself is stunning—beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. The same beach can be accessed for free if you enter from the beach side near the house, but if you enter from the town side, there is a $7 per person access fee.We spent most of our time enjoying the house, but we did venture out a couple of afternoons—to the beach and to a nearby monkey sanctuary, which I highly recommend visiting.Despite the seaweed conditions, this was one of those tr"

"Our family (2 adults, 3 kids age 16, 12, 12) had an absolutely fantastic stay here for our spring break! Our expectations were exceeded in every way. The house is clean and well air conditioned. The outdoor space was inviting with ample shade and places to lounge. We enjoyed our outdoor meals at the large outdoor table. The place is ocean front and a 10-15 minute walk to Akumal village and a two minute walk to the Jungle Fish restaurant. We enjoyed the kayaks and snorkeling gear! The best part of our stay were our hosts Jacob and Moon-he. They are sweet and attentive and provided a daily housekeeper and groundskeeper. Edgar cooked an amazing meal for us on our last night. We would come back in a heart beat!!!"

"We have stayed here multiple times. Staff are wonderful and accommodating. Pool is very clean and most of the time we had it to ourselves. Condo is charming with AC units in both bedrooms. "

The backyard pool area is like an oasis. Beautiful pool and a great bonus was the hot tub. My girlfriend and I loved it. Restaurants in the area are very good. We rented a golf cart to make it easy to get around Akumal village but it is walkable. You can eat everything from pizza and burgers to fine dining steaks seafood and Italian. The house is very well appointed. We ate out half of the time and cooked our own meals the other half. If you want to do that just stop at one of the grocery stores on the way - food is all you need! The bbq and kitchen appliances including an espresso maker are all there for your own use. There is a separate casita in the backyard which would be great for another couple or kids. Overall it was a great experience. I’ve been to riviera maya many many times but always at a resort. I preferred the flexibility of renting the house. Eat what and when you want, mot have watered down alcohol etc. Had a great time. Mucho gracias! Booking is very easy and very professional, everything you need to know is emailed to you. "It would be beneficial to have an on site to help with issues incurred during the visit. We were held up on admission to the apartment because we did not have the symbol required by security for admission. Our flight left in the morning of 2/2/26 before we received this notification . Once at the premises we had no wi-fi to retrieve this information. We waited close to two hours in our car before this issue was resolved."
