"Great property, we were upgraded to privilege and enjoyed few additional amenities, however, privilege is not far off from standard as we didn’t find it extraordinary. Buffets were great but needs some improvements in terms of quality of food. Restaurants were busy and hard to find a spot probably due to Christmas timing. Shows were average. Seems like there is a mandatory tip culture compared to other resorts as each staff who provided us service has high expectations for the tips some even demanded which was unexpected as the resort is itself pricy and tips should be optional. We took playa shopping tour as well which costed us sometime as it stopped on stores which seems tourists trap. Overall our stay was great and we will certainly recommend. "

"We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had an excellent experience overall. The resort truly deserves five stars. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was outstanding. Every day while we were out, the staff cleaned the room, refreshed the bed sheets, and made it feel like the first day again. The pool area was very clean, well organized, and never felt crowded. Poolside service was attentive, and the drinks were high quality. The pool buffet and lunch options were delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. Chefs and staff clearly cared about food quality and presentation. The main buffet was open from morning until late evening and offered a wide selection. In addition, there were several specialty restaurants with very good food, and reservations were generally manageable. The beach area was clean and relaxing, with towels, a beach bar, and activities like kayaking included. Entertainment and shows were enjoyable and added to the overall experience. A few small cons: shows were held in different locations each night, so following the schedule was sometimes confusing. Also, some restaurants closed briefly between meal times, and the main pool and pool bar closed around 6 PM, which felt early. Bars in family areas also closed around 10–10:30 PM. Overall, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort. Booking through Expedia was smooth, and staff professionalism made the vacation stress free."

"Had an exellent time at this hotel. The room was very clean, and the staff was so polite at all times. Angel and Aciel took very good care of us during our stay. I loved how close this hotel is from quinta avenida, and how celebrated my husband felt during our stay. The only down side of this was that I requested a taxi to go back to the Cancun airport. Unfortunately, I was dropped off at the wrong terminal, which put us in a stressful situation. Then, had to pay $1,000 pesos for a taxi at the airport to take us to the correct terminal. Other than that, the trip was amazing! "
