Mexico Adults Only Vacations

The rooms are a decent size & seemed pretty clean & the beds were adequately comfortable. The restaurants are pretty good (we liked the Italian and the Asian best), but, my dh said the small portions were not enough (my dd & I thought it was plenty to not feel stuffed & uncomfortable). You can visit the 2 next-door sister resorts (not adult's only); we thought the buffet next door had better options for food & that the resort itself & pool & chairs were more updated than ours, but, our pool was much cleaner & we liked the pool bar better as well (not to mention, adults-only). Also, the staff was very responsive whenever we needed anything. Room service was quick, but options are limited. There are several things that need updated at the Yucatan; the shade on the lamp above the table in our room looked as if it had been burned at some point & should be replaced; we were out on our 2nd floor balcony one evening & the door locked on its own-luckily our dd was in the room to let us in to name just a couple. Also, coati's are roaming about & sometimes harass ppl eating by the pool. But we had a great time with activities & relaxing. Special shout-out to the entry area staff, particularly Javier (he was phenomenal and I would go back to this resort just to see him again) & I'm very sorry but I can't remember the name of the other man (he was taller and wore glasses)-he was great as well. Add'l downside: beach is not visible from the resort, but was unusable due to sargassum anyway.

My wife and I have been to the valentin before while this visit was not a bad visit, it was just okay. There seem to not be enough staff for the volume of people at the resort. Those staff members for the most part hustled to meet everyone’s requests. There were a few staff members that couldn’t be bothered to meet the requests of the travelers which was disappointing. It seemed that every night two restaurants were closed which did not leave a good variety to choose from and long wait times at the restaurants because of the volume and what appeared to be not enough staff help.

Beautiful setting with a lovely beach. Especially enjoyed the coffee shop and ice cream! Meals were superb and staff incredibly helpful We did not appreciated being accosted by a time share person shortly after we arrived. Her pitch was deceptive - come and see another resort as opposed to I am selling time shares. Hyatt does it self a disservice by badgering guests with salespeople.

Lost Luggage - called multpile times - told its on the way to my room be there any minute - 15 mins later went down to the belldesk and it was in the storage room that was 110 degrees cooking my medicine Steakhouse was a joke - terrible cooking - steak was blanched?

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. The service was incredible, the rooms were spotless, and every moment felt like they genuinely wanted us to have the best stay possible.
