North London Mountain Vacations

The location was excellent for our visit to London, the hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious for London, clean, comfortable and had good amenities including a coffee machine, toiletries, gowns and slippers. The bed was comfortable, for us a little too soft, however we slept well with quality bedding and the surrounding area was quiet. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and tasteful food. Staff were professional and welcoming.

These are apartment hotels and I stay in them 2 times a year, when I visit my daughter sometimes for months or few weeks Presidental Apartments was by far the best. Staff on 24 hours, fully stocked room with everything you need, smaller shops close by and Big Tesco for a big shop should you need a variety of groceries. Housekeeping services every day and the gem of the hotel is Michael who is the concierge/ door man. This is a super safe area and a 3 mins walk from tube station. You can be in central London in as little as 20 mins. Highly recommend

Firstly, the hotel is in a great location in South Kensington close to both the tube and the bus. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. I loved the eclectic vibe and decor. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped with all of our needs. We stayed in the 2 bedroom vault which is on the lower floor. The living area, kitchenette and bathroom are beautiful. The bedrooms, although they were described to us, were not really convenient. Yes, they are built into the turrets of the hotel, which we knew, however we did not know that you had to climb in and out of the bed to get out of the room as it is so tight. Also it was not brought to our attention the you have to duck to get into the one bedroom as the ceiling height was maybe 5 ft 3 inches tall. One of the travelers with me was older and due to the climbing into and out of the bed fell and severely bruised her eye and shoulder. We did let staff know but honestly had I know the ceilings were that low and that you had to climb over the bed to get in and out I would have booked differently. The accident did ruin some of our vacation. I would stay at this hotel again but would NOT stay in those rooms. If you’re a male or taller female it is extremely dangerous and inconvenient.

If your not familiar with hostels, your in a for a bit of a shock. There is 12-15 rooms that share 3 bathrooms. 2 break areas with a fridge and microwave sink etc. The dishes and some food are communal. Be aware sharing is not required but there is little space to put things in your room. The bed was small and thin more like a mat, not a traditional mattress. It was very firm. Pillows were rather hard as well. The heat was not working in this room but it had a space heater, that seems typical in Europe. The shower and bathroom areas could use more cleaning as hair. shaving residue and toothpaste was in the sink and shower. Dirty dishes in the break rooms. Paid daily housekeeping would help. The establishment was a little rough around the edges as a whole, but if you’re on a tight budget it will meet your needs. Just takes a little getting used to. It takes a lot of independence and adjustment.

The low cost was the main attraction. It is literally a room in someones house but we were made very welcome. Be prepared to take off your shoes on entry. I had been traveling for many hours so my feet were nit quits fresh. The bed is very comfortable. The pool and spa is 1.5 miles away in a leisure centre so we didn’t bother
