「The room we had original AC wasn’t working right in room 403 (so clean) called front desk and he was such a sweetheart, when I went back to lobby the new room key was ready. Room 406 was so CLEAN!! Ice machine on the 5th floor wasn’t working, Thank god there was ice cups at the corner store. The location is amazing on 3rd ave. Parking also. Smoking or non smoking room. Vending machines had raw paper also 😂!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!!!」
「At first it started off rocky. Thought I could check in at 3pm although I told them I would arrive around 5pm. That’s on me. Long story short 1st room I got was not serviced got the 2nd room real quick. Overall it gives you a college experience with the bathroom and showers outside the room. I enjoyed it. 」
「The front desk staff was friendly, but the room facilities were poor. There were no hangers to hang clothes, no door guard, no hair dryer, no coffee maker, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and the lock on the balcony door was broken, so I was very worried about security. There was no room cleaning during my stay. The subway station was close and the bus stop was in front of the hotel, so it was convenient. There was a fire station next door, but the noise wasn't a problem.」
「I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. 」
