Great long term stay, just don't rely on internet

Fantastic views, clean, quaint, good location on Half Moon Bay. I needed good internet to work while I was here, and it was spotty most of the time, which led to frustration. Great place to get away though!

Beautiful view, right on on the beach!

Our stay was wonderful. We loved being on the beach and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The condo was very clean and well kept. Management was attentive to our needs. We checked in late. Being on the 3rd floor, we had a hard time finding the stairs up there, but neighbors and another late night check-in helped us find it. We loved the proximity to La Buena Vida Restaurant. We were able to go eat late our first night there (9:30) It was delicious! We loved the view from the condo the most!

Location! Location! Location!!

Had a wonderful time as usual! Location, location, location! Del Sol is always accommodating, clean, and friendly! The apartments always have what we need, and if not, the staff tries to make a way. If location and personable, friendly relationships are important to you, I would recommend Del Sol and Akumal Norte.

Basic apartment - but right on the ocean!

Del Sol Beachfront is an affordable beachfront property in Akumal, but with that affordability comes a more basic experience. Our bed and pillows were quite hard, our coach had no throw pillows to make it more comfy, there was no microwave, and the kitchen has hardly any space for cooking. That said, we loved the view, the outside balcony for relaxing, and the staff is really friends. So if you go with the right expectations, you should be fine.

Great property, location, comfort

We stayed with a group of friends and had 3br, 2br & 1br apartments. Having seen all of them, I'd say the 1br is the least value for the money. Both 2 & 3Br apartments are generously sized with lots of common space and extra room to hang out, beautiful balconies and functional kitchens. The 1br was nearly the same price as the 2br (at least in the high high season) but offered less. That said, it would be just fine for a couple with no kids. We really enjoyed the property, the Buena Vida restaurant, the calm and relaxed feel of North Akumal. Views from the balcony brought immediate joy before we even set our toes on the fine soft sands. The experience of staying beachfront just can't be beat. There are some rocks as you enter the water and go further in. Water shoes are pretty much a must, but you can buy them locally.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time at Del Sol Beachfront. Very affordable with views to die for! Right on the beach! We rented bikes for a few days, we highly recommend it! Walking gets a little old, but taking a bike is fantastic! Walk over to La Buena Vida for a meal or drink, or walk north to Yal Ku Lagoon for a day of snorkeling! Take a bikeor walk into the town center to Taverna or Turtle Bay Cafe for some wonderful food! We will definitely stay at Del Sol again! We love it there!

Well appointed, great location, be careful

Of all the places south of Cancun this was our favorite. Less people, wonderful restaurant close by and good maid service...well she did take some nail polish from my wife's make up kit, but hey that's Mexico. They will take advantage of you if you are not careful. This same "rip off the Americans" attitude played itself out on several occasions during the week, but I won't go into the details of all that . The condo itself is nice enough, good a/c( absolutely necessary ), and situated in a quiet area. We stayed in 303, 3rd floor, so if mobility is a problem probably not a good idea. There is a safe, but it didn't seem to work , so we hid valuables carefully. Don't bring wedding rings etc. Bed Is very hard.. We ate out for lunch, dinner everyday. All dinners were at La Buena Vida, 800 yards away. Great restaurant. Sorry not to paint a rosier picture of our stay,

We would never stay anywhere else

This was our 4th stay at the Del Sol and we would never stay anywhere else. It is everything you need at a reasonable price. The staff is great and friendly. There are so many great places to eat with such great food who needs all inclusive.
