The staff was absolutely amazing. The onsen is lovely, the food is great, and the views are fantastic. This was our splurge of the trip and it was worth every penny.

Overall excellent stay. Yet, they couldn’t accommodate for late check-out. It was hard to look for taxi to drive back to Gora station, instead we had to walked down with our luggages. They should at least provided transportation.

Hakone Suisen provided the best service I expected. The staff were really kind and friendly, the facility was clean and nice, onsen(both inside and outside) were great, and they even provided simple breakfast! Onsen is not big as normally depicted in Japanese media(movie/drama) but the water source is outstanding. This place was amazing from the moment we arrived. Taking your shoes off upon arrival is a must (as it is in most Japanese Places). Our bags were carried up to our room and we were served green tea. We were told about the amenities and even walked down to the onsens available. We had a room with our own hot spring tub on the balcony which I recommend that you book. Staffs spoke fluent English and are super communicative. Overall great experience, scenery of the onsen is amazing. Just want to highlight though, when we used the shuttle bus to arrive at the Gora Station, bus driver didn’t really help to carry the luggages down which is fine, just feels a bit weird to see the contrast before and after leaving the hotel. Great staff, nice view, clean room and nice onsen

This was such a beautiful hotel. We stayed at some very nice ones during our trip to Japan and this was the most amazing of them all with gorgeous views of Mt Fuji and Lake Ashi. Actual property and room were amazing. It was very large for Japan and everything was new. It felt like a nice modern apartment but had a sauna, onsen, and footbath! Onsen was very nice and while not outside, you could open the large window for some cool air. The room really was far beyond my expectations. Very approachable for a more cultural, traditional experience. Was very easy for an American foreigner like myself to have a truly authentic experience. Staff is incredibly hospitable, helpful, patient, and capable. My first ryokan experience that I have Yusakaso to thank. Quality onsens, extraordinarily clean.

Amazing

Loved loved loved! Wished I had booked this for the entire trip and probably will book again if I return. The home was thoughtfully curated and exactly as pictured. Very scenic drive and quiet neighborhood. Instructions were straightforward with check-in/route/guidelines and host was very responsive. Note: if you are using public transport and have more than a back pack, I suggest catching a ride from the drop off point to the home.

Amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. The Wagyu beef was melt in your mouth fantastic. Great wine. The private onsen was perfect and so relaxing at the end of the night. Super comfortable bed and spacious room. Wish I had booked two nights. My only complaint is the coffee in the room is more espresso style and I love a big hearty cup of coffee in the morning. The hotel doesn’t offer coffee in the lobby which is a bummer. We didn’t add breakfast just because we don’t usually do breakfast....

Always enjoy my stay at this property but was disappointed this time with breakfast. They no longer serve drinks to order instead a big thermos for coffee and tea were on the counter, of course taste was subpar. The manager saw my surprise at this and offered drinks to order but I believe this should be a minimum standard for a brand like Hyatt Regency. In my humble opinion, you don’t need curry in the morning buffet but you should offer quality coffee and tea to kick off the day pleasantly.

Loved staying at this property! Absolutely beautiful. Very friendly staff. Room was stunning. Would recommend the Japanese style breakfast during your stay and visiting the onsen!

We stayed here with our four-year-old and had a wonderful time. They provided child robes and meals and everyone was so kind. Free coffee and tea downstairs and amazing baths in the rooms! Would definitely return.
