「Choose ground or first floor apartment as attic apartment is too hot and windows don't let in enough light. Mirror in bathroom fitted under eaves so too low to see yourself in if you're over 4ft tall. No long mirror in apartment either and bedroom too dark to use mirror over dressing table. Pelmets above windows and blinds hanging slightly below them block light so what little light the windows provide is further obscured by the window dressings. Was told there were only 2 floors so expected to...

「A very comfortable and clean apartment with high specification fittings. Stay Yorks was extremely courteous and helpful from the booking Ito our stay. The only downside was the minimal space available for our clothing. There is a slim wardrobe but the bedside cabinets were just a small drawer. Also, there was nowhere to hang a towel in the additional toilet - a hook on the back of the door could easily resolve this issue. We would thoroughly recommend CityPad as a comfortable place to stay and...

「absolutely excellent stay here. Great proximity to city centre but still quiet and private. The host is very responsive and the instructions to find/get in the apartment were clear and concise. Unfortunately the WiFi was down during our stay but the host made me aware of this beforehand and reimbursed me for the public paid WiFi instantly upon check out. overall a 5* star stay and I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere great to stay in york.」

「Walmgate cottage is an excellent base for a short trip to York. It is a 10 minute walk from the centre of the city, which means it is pretty quiet. The cottage was warm and cosy, and everything was clean. If you are unsteady on your feet, be advised be that the upstairs floors are a little bit uneven due to the age of the property, but that was not an issue for us. The facilities were good, and although we did not cook for ourselves, the kitchen seemed to have a good level of equipment. We...

「Fab apartment in a great location. Rooms are lovely & clean, got everything you need, like home from home. Owner & her husband very easy to deal with & obtaining the key when we arrived was super easy. Great having a car parking space too, major asset in a city! If I had to pick at one thing, it would just be the noise from the apartment above, TV was very loud each night till gone 11 but can’t blame the owners or the apartment on that, that’s really the luck of the draw as to whose above. Would...

16. 2 bedroom accommodation in Kirk Hammerton, near Knaresborough

Kirk Hammerton, near Knaresborough

「This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !」
