"Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Our room was in the basement down and dirty hallway with no view at all. No coffee in the room. No parking. Would not recommend. "

"The day after the Kona Low storm the open lobby was available for a wonderful hot breakfast. The staff were all very attentive and friendly, even though everything around them was affected. Our room was on the mauka side and the view in the morning was lovely. Quiet and well-kept, would definitely stay again"

"Given that our stay was the week of a horrendous storm the staff were friendly and courteous. Housekeeping provided great service with friendly attitudes. Hotel providing guests with breakfast and dinner was a very generous offering. Thank you!"

"Fabulous location looking directly at the ocean, and steps from the beach. The unit was well appointed in a pleasant traditional Hawaiian style. All questions were answered promptly by the host. Check in/out instructions were clear and easy. I’d happily stay here again!"

"There was ongoing construction duringour stay. Workers were on our lanai/balcony working during the day. It was loud, noisy and invaded our privacy. We had to vacate the room by 8:00 am and not return until 5:00pm due to the workers. The lanai/balcony was closed off and locked so we could not use it at all, even in the evening after the workers left for the day. There was construction scafolding and netting set up across our lanai obstructing our ocean view. The Kona Reef staff on site refused to contact Raintree Vacation Club management for us so we could file a complaint and discuss a resolution. We were informed by the Kona Reef staff there were no other available rooms we could move into. "

"We often stay at Kona Reef for the beautiful views and easy walking access to Kona town. This condo was very comfortable and clean - a nice bed, good air conditioning, all the things we needed in the kitchen and easy check out. It was easy to text with the host with quick response. Only disappointment was the grills near the pool weren't working great, but that is a Kona Reef problem. Mahalo!"

"Amazing views from the balcony and the bedrooms. Great pool. Nice walking access to Kona shopping and dining. Just a few minor complaints. The door knob kept falling off and the dishes could have been a little cleaner."
