"From the start we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do ask about the timeshare offering, but aren't overly pushy about it. If we had been staying for longer we would likely have gone to the 1.5 hour meeting as they offer nice rewards for it. The condo was larger than expected: one bedroom and 2 full baths. One bath had a shower, and the other had a shower/tub combo. We booked the Villa Niaia room. I don't know what the difference between the room types are. But at the resort, there is an older section and a newer section. We were in a newer section. It has been renovated and had solar panels, with air conditioning included. Some other rooms you have to pay $12/day for AC. We looked right out toward the pool and golf course. You could see the ocean behind that. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals. The unit had a stack washer and dryer to be able to wash your own laundry. The pool stays open until 11, and wasn't super crowded most of the time. We enjoyed the hot tub at sunset. Very relaxing. There is a restaurant and bar with live music at night. They also have community events. There is sand volleyball, basketball, and grills with tables around the property. It is conveniently located. Across the street is Longs Pharmacy(CVS). And a Walmart about 10 minutes away. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was so enjoyable."

"Second time staying here and we love how relaxing and not-busy this resort is. Unfortunately, this time there were some issues that could’ve been and should’ve been handled. We had 2 rooms and both didn’t have any soap for bathroom sink provided. We had to call housekeeping to get some so that we could wash our hands after using the bathroom and it took over and hour and 2 calls to get it. We found cockroaches in a couple of areas (the pool and outside our room) and when we called to have someone take care of it, it took over 4 hours and more calls to the front desk. On top of that, the Holoholo store on the property, had THE MOST rude worker. She was in the coffee bar area and every time we went, she was so clearly irritated to have to help anyone. She was equally rude to everyone I saw her come in contact with so I know it wasn’t just toward us. Spoke to the hotel manager, Sally, who was aware and advised about the situation. She was very apologetic but this store isn’t actually associated with the resort. Whatever you do, don’t eat breakfast at the Piko restaurant in the resort. Beyond expensive and none of us enjoyed the food! Lunch bar is great for food however!"

"The house was in perfect condition with a box of chocolate macadamia nuts to welcome us. We were there when the earthquake hit and the host emailed the next day to see if we were ok and if the house was ok. Thankfully it was. Magic sands beach is really pretty but unless you love big waves that crash up to the beach instead of rolling in plan to drive someplace else to swim. It was fun watching the body surfers and biggie boarders having fun in those 3 foot pounding waves. And the sunsets were glorious The pool and hot tub were great especially after driving up to the volcano and back. I liked that there were so many things in the pantry we could use. Salt pepper, spicesSauces in the frig. Infact we left some newly opened salsa that I hope the next family will enjoyIt was a wonderful vacation and I am glad we stayed!!"

"This space has super fun decor and amazing amenities. Loved the use of beach towels and chairs, cooler, so many kitchen appliances. Overall it was clean and in a great location for our travels and close to so many great beaches, sights, and restaurants. I applaud the hosts for their descriptive honesty that there is no AC; however, it was hot and uncomfortable sleeping and merely opening the sliding door or windows to feel the ocean breeze, wasn’t an easy or appropriate fix. There is a very busy road between the space and the beach, and many cars had loud engines, played loud music, and people hung out at the beech, all of this occurring every night at all hours."

"The view of ocean, sunset, yellow tangs in the waves is amazing. Close to town to shop or eat and beaches to snorkle and swim . Equipped with all needed for a great stay. Restaurant on property has beach view and great food. Kitchen fully stocked so no need to hurry out for breakfast. This is our 3rd visit and not our last!"

"The location of the unit was good, but the listing photos were extremely misleading and clearly many years old. The unit itself was very worn out, outdated, and paled in comparison to other units in the building that I saw from people I met during my stay. The refrigerator was heavily rusted, the luggage rack was covered in rust, and the stone shower stall had visible mold throughout. The ceiling fan had some kind of mold on it as well. Even the welcome/information book looked like it had been sitting there for decades - many of the pages and printed instructions were so faded they were barely readable. The same was true for several signs, labels, and light switch instructions throughout the unit.While the unit was not dirty, it felt neglected and long overdue for renovation or replacement of many items. A few hundred dollars in paint and basic upgrades would have made a world of difference.If you’re simply looking for a place to sleep and don't care about appearance, the bed was comfortable and the view was nice. However, had I known the true condition of this unit, I gladly would have spent the extra 15–20 per night that some of the other units in the building were asking. This was easily one of the more run-down units in the building."
