"I love the Royal Kona and will likely stay every time I visit the Big Island! It’s a great price point with fantastic amenities available, as well as being family-friendly. I did notice some availability issues, which is always surprising to me because it seems a touch unreasonable to overbook nowadays, especially when some folks are coming in on international flights. Most everyone on staff is professional but I can understand that particular frustration, though I was lucky to dodge that issue this time. With that small note aside, the food was amazing as usual, spa treatment was luxurious and necessary, and the pool area was well maintained like it has been on every previous visit! I’m so grateful to have been able to spend Christmas in Kona at my favorite resort :)"

"What a amazing resort! My husband and I took our 80+ year old parents! They had there own condo and I can't say enough good stuff about this resort! The pool was perfect, the restaurant was delicious, the entertainment was so fun every night, the staff was unbelievable keeping my parents well taking care of and just overall each one of them was the best! It was within walking distance to groceries, tons of restaurants! Couldn't ask for a better lifetime experience for us! And we were so excited the volcano erupted while we were there! Thank u Kona resort! If I could give them a 10 it would be 11!"

"I stayed at Orchid Room. I woke up with ocean waves and birds. Clean, safe and comfortable climate in December. One step away from the most beautiful snorkel beach in Kona. The people are very responsive and nice! Thank you!! "

"Avi and his wife Orna have truly been amazing hosts! We could have not been more grateful to stay at their place. When we arrived in Kona, unfortunately we had some mishaps with getting dinner before check in as we landed late and the place we chose was closing early. Upon knowing this, Avi and Orna were so kind to make us a simple, yet fulfilling plate of avocado toast and fruit/snacks. Second, when we had to pick up our rental car the next day, Avi kindly offered to drive us to enterprise. I appreciate that he would also invite us for morning coffee inside his house. Location wise, it was the perfect spot near downtown and other areas to visit in the big island. The views of our place were especially beautiful. For the price, it was definitely more affordable than hotels and parking was easy for our rental car. Avi also provided stuff that we could use for beach activities such as boogie boards, ice cooler, beach chairs, towels, and even bug spray/sun care spray/first aid if needed. Although we shared their guest house, we still felt like it was our own private home. Avi also had great communication in the app, especially when he updated us that a wildfire could affect a highway going home when we were in Hilo. It was our first time using Vrbo, and I surely will look again for any future travel accommodations. If I ever come back to the big island, I will definitely book with Avi again! I highly recommend their hospitality as they made our Hawaii trip super memorable. "

"Fantastic stay! Would stay again. Absolutely loved the venue. The one thing I wish would’ve been different, is the quality of the air conditioner. While there is an AC unit in every room, it still was fairly hot. Manageable but not as cool as we would’ve liked. Other than that super happy with our stay! We had a fantastic time. "
