Dragonfly Ranch felt like a home away from home, I stayed in the Lomi Lomi suite which has a beautiful view, all the amenities you need. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Thank you to the staff!!!

Dragonfly Range BnB is a very rustic, peaceful, friendly and warmly inviting place for vacationers and folks seeking health related guidance. Do not expect typical condo or hotel type accommodations, but rather enjoy intimate facilities that enable a true nature centric experience with a homestyle atmosphere. The hosts and interns are a delightful group who are there to help in all ways. The rooms are basically quite clean, although the overall grounds lack that squeaky clean appearance, which is why we did not rank that component very high. Breakfast is good, with lots of fruit, oatmeal, eggs, toast, coffee, tea, etc., but be prepared to venture out for evening meals.

Wonderful atmosphere- you’re staying at a retreat center which is homey, high vibrational, and has been lovingly cultivated over decades. It’s lush south kona heaven. Highly recommend. Breakfast also top notch.

Breakfast is fruit heavy and bread light. But the real issues are: the property description shouldn't indicate , you will get green geckos all over the place, long horned beetles , walking sticks , aggravating , katydids and cats that don't care that you're carrying heavy suitcases because they refuse to move out of your way. Coqui frogs go on all night and roosters early morning. No curtains so you always wake up at the crack of dawn. Cats are fed in guest kitchen and will lick your food. They dont even respond to being shooed away anymore. Parking is pitch black and the sensored lights only start halfway up with treacherous steep driveway. Flashlights a must. Every time I use the toilet, I had to turn on the shower head and shoe away the wildlife in the toilet first. We chased a roach , a huge roach to the bottom of the bed to try and trap it when I looked down there , it had dust bunnies that had probably been accumulating for half a year. Oh and their sleeves everywhere and I get that leaves fault all the time , but if you blew away , the leaves once a day with a small little handheld leaf blower or hey , how about a broom , maybe guess would feel like sitting somewhere on the terrace. Other than that the place is fabulous.

Barbara and her team at the Dragonfly Ranch make you feel like family as soon as you arrive. It was such a treat for my birthday getting to spend a full 8 days alongside my husband in this beautiful jungle oasis, filled with meaningful and spiritual conversations, cuddles with the community of loving and therapeutic pets, and lots of laughs. This really is a retreat and sanctuary for the people who embrace it as such, providing a welcome escape from daily distractions and positive healing energy for those who need it - whether they consciously realize it or not. We highly recommend planning for an extended stay here in order to fully enjoy the impact of its caretakers and energy on your mind, body, heart, and soul.

Very cool place in the jungles of the big island. Feels like you’re one with nature. The host, Barbara, is so friendly and helpful. She makes lots of food for breakfast and there’s a great outdoor spot to eat and relax. Had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

Customers need to be warned that this isn't a hotel and the room wasn't really a room, but rather a screened-in porch. There were no windows to close - only screens. There was no shower, but rather a bathtub where people from the outside could see anyone in the tub. The bathroom sink was actually a kitchen sink that came with cockroaches. The bed was in very bad condition, sinking in the middle. There was poor lighting, no air conditioning, and nearly deafening noise from frogs outside. When we arrived, it was completely dark and to reach our room, you were required to climb a steep hill/driveway. The breakfast consisted of some cut up fruit, wheat bread, oatmeal, and coffee. The owner was friendly, trying to be accomodating and helpful.

Like you’re staying in a tree house. Very neat property. If you don’t like bugs, lizards, living in nature don’t stay here. We really enjoyed it. Sunset and water view from our room, the Lomi Lomi suite. Handmade breakfast was waiting for us in the am. Friendly and communicative staff. Good location too.

Breakfast was wonderful! Don’t be in a hurry! I was leary when I arrived in the dark…but fell in love with the place in the daylight! It was a great adventure! No glass windows…only screens. The frogs were loud…but slept so good! If you like noise machines, you will love it! The bedroom had a fan if needed. They had beach equipment to borrow if wanted. A wonderful snorkeling spot was next to the National Park…just a few miles from the Dragonfly Ranch. The ocean view was amazing! Barbara (and her staff) was a great hostess!

This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stay in a jungle away from it all. The windows are screens and in the Hawaiian heat it feels like glamping. And the breakfasts and staff are wonderful too. The National park is very close and we visited multiple times to enjoy hiking, beaches, and the historical elements. The snorkelling/swimming area was also very busy. And the ranch offered snorkel gear and other things to make sure you could make the most of your time there!

We had the most charming stay and couldn’t recommend more - we were just sad we couldn't stay longer! Barbara is a wonderful host, the breakfast is organic and delicious, the views are gorgeous, and the grounds are truly magical. It’s perfect for families who love nature but also comfy beds and running water! We will be back for sure and next time we’ll stay longer :-)

The breakfast food was healthy and good. The bathroom facilities are quaint - toilet and shower in one space - outside the room. Watch for a frog in the toilet! It did have an ocean view from the dining area. Very fun place if you're into alternative lifestyles. Enjoyed seeing the outdoor areas - garden, illuminarium, paths, many neat plants and trees. The frog and geko chorus at night would have kept me awake if I didn't use ear plugs. Good experience for one night!

Lomi Lomi Room. It was a surprise to see a large one-room studio. Soaker bath with shower curtains in L/R area. Two walls with only screens but secure and relatively private. No A/C but efficient fans. Supplied earplugs were needed to block frog and bird and fountain noises, but I'm a light sleeper so kinda loud for me. I'm glad the recent storm didn't hit the property. That might have made the room inhospitable. But a pleasant stay away from the crowds in Kailua Kona. A bit of a drive from town - almost an hour to the airport with our 4:30 am. start.

We were in the Lomi Lomi room and I loved the view of the ocean from it. The room has a unique decor that makes the experience even better. The bed was cozy and clean. There is also a comunal kitchen and fridge just putside the room.
