"Nice hotel, a little tired in places but well appointed, great location and lovely building. Arrived to be told the car park was full which wasn’t terribly convenient as had to use the larger public car park which you can drive into right by the hotel car park but the pedestrian exit is 2 streets down so it’s a long walk with your luggage. Reception was great and very helpful and room was good size and well equipped, if perhaps a little tired in decor and would benefit from a quick light touch update to the decor. But that didn’t negatively affect the experience."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our balcony room had a lovely view of the marina and we very much liked the ability to side open the patio style floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast was very nice with lots of options. There is a very wide variety of restaurants within easy walk. The only slight niggle was check-in. There was only one couple in front of us but it still took about fifteen minutes."

"Amazing stay for my partners birthday. Room was very well presented and hotel offered to provide flowers to celebrate and even a happy birthday message written in chocolate! Absolutely recommend the rooms with a sea view, it really doesn’t disappoint at all! The larger rooms are well worth it, tons of extra space and let you really appreciate the design of the rooms. Spa is absolutely worth the money, it was £10pp per stay when we went, and it was brilliant. Restaurant is downstairs and offers one of the best continental breakfast selections I’ve ever seen, so much fresh fruit!"

"Great location, especially it you travel by train, exit from the side of the station and a somewhat smelly :-( municipal lift (not within control of the hotel) will take you almost to the front entrance and reception. The Lanes (great shops and cafes) and the seafront are a short walk away. Wonderful reception staff, a good buffet breakfast, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean apartment. The only downside was the very clean bathroom. The walk in shower needs retro fitting with a sliding door, this has happened in some Crown Plaza hotels. As currently fitted the bathroom gets flooded when showering and is the only thing that lets the place down. However, the excellent outweighs this."
