Amazing location in brighton marina and the hotel was modern with a lovely sea view terrace bar but the long island ice tea we ordered were gross and undrinkable, bar staff did not question why we left them at a tenner a go. I booked a deluxe club room at 220, balcony was tiny and the room did not even have a bath or decent smart tv, also appeared to be Family room with 2 single beds not even locked together, although the bef was comfy.
Main problem was prison like feel so much grey and unevessary use of metal bars around the room, including a wierd frame around the tv which meant as you come in from the balcony you could easily hit your head, crazy!
Nice hotel in the heart of the marina. Good standard of accommodation, which was expected from the Malmaison brand, but the room was actually very small and the bathroom had just a shower. Not a major problem but for the cost of one nights B&B stay costing over £300 I did expect more.
We were staying for our wedding anniversary and I had contacted in advance about having some flowers or something in the room for my wife on arrival. I only got a reply message 5 mins after we had checked in and nothing was in the room for our arrival.
The staff were lovely and all very friendly but I was left feeling disappointed after our stay. I expected more from the Malmaison brand and especially considering it was the most expensive hotel in Brighton when I booked.
The hotel was fine except for the fact that no one likes to find the previous guest’s pubic hair in the shower tray! The shower did not drain properly, which meant you had to be quick so as not to flood the bathroom . The balcony looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. This is the first time I’ve written a review online , and I wouldn’t have bothered if it had not been for the rudest, ill mannered and unwelcoming receptionist I have ever met, in any hotel , in any country in the world.
