「Great accommodation, set and laid out perfectly for our arrival. The location is ideal and so close to Padstow, rock, and even polzeath. This is our third year in a row and we went for a slightly larger barn this time (3 best room) which was great and gives a larger kitchen/living area.」

「The caravan was spotless clean and well equipped, good position for great walks on beach. All staff very pleasant. Would only say it would have been very helpful if Expedia would have informed of the linen and towel situation which would have saved me phoning the Park. 」

「I generally stay in 4–5 star accommodation, and based on the website description and previous reviews, I expected Hay’s Wood Retreat to fall into that category. Unfortunately, the standard of the lodge did not match the ‘luxury’ billing — in my assessment it was closer to a solid 3-star property. If you’re used to genuinely high-end accommodation, I’d recommend tempering your expectations regardless of the marketing or other reviews you may have read. It’s a perfectly adequate stay, but...

「There was absolutely no things left like salt and pepper washing up liquid of any amount . No towels and the beds were very uncomfortable. The general condition was satisfactory however the floor was dirty and had to be moped. The overall vibe wasn't very welcoming as the caravan felt soulless. Having said all that, the value was very good and we would visit again, despite these niggles.」

「We booked a caravan for three nights during the last May bank holiday; the place was not too busy and we were given a place nearly at the end of the carvan park which meant that it was quiet. 「Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out.
