「Friendly welcoming staff, varied menu and excellent food and atmosphere in the bar area. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it. Clean and quiet room with a comfortable bed and small but adequate en-suite. We would stay again and would happily recommend it to others.」

「We stay here regularly whilst visiting family. I love it because everyone is very friendly, the beds are super comfy and there is a bath in the bathroom. It's walking distance into town even after a few drinks in the very reasonably priced bar! It's dog friendly too. Big carpark and surprisingly quiet after the bar closes. Usually football on the TV in the bar which keeps my husband happy (depending on play...) 😅 The Highfield is always our first choice when planning to come to Boro.」

「Beautiful lodge. We stayed in the annex a short walk from the lodge. Staff were lovely and friendly. The grounds were a nice place to relax with a drink. Breakfast was really good ( full English breakfast). Proprietary said they like to employ young students to work weekends which we noticed. Nice to see the young crowd.」
