「Our one-night stay was underwhelming from start to finish. Check-in took longer than expected due to the busy pub. Room 4 was tastefully decorated and had a lovely sea view, with Whitby Abbey visible in the distance, but it was a double bed. We paid an additional fee for our two dogs, but nothing was provided for them—no bowls, treats or beds. We always bring our own, but for an extra charge, we expected some kind of gesture. Unfortunately, several things in the room were not up to standard....

「We’ve been going to the Mallyan Spout for 48 years and seen many transitions, but basically it stays the same. Keep the friendly Yorkshire customer care at the top of your agenda! This keeps it special.」

「We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings」

「Beautiful stay at the Haven Crest. Rooms were immaculate. The breakfast was 5* and served by a lovely friendly helpful lady. The premises is just outside the main town but a lovely walk along the coast to reach it, about 15 minutes. A lovely bar with fantastic views right next door. The Manager was was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this B&B」

「Lovely stay at the stables, welcoming friendly staff, the breakfast and evening meal during our stay was really good. Bar prices aren’t the cheapest but similar to what we paid in Whitby. Location is across the road from the park and ride into whitby that takes about 5/10 mins on the bus.」
