Then the staff welcomes you with their own charm and the package is complete. I found the care taken to provide a comfortable stay very impressive. The rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, and the location was great! I was glad to have found an easily accessible stopping point outside of Kyoto city. Much easier to decompress at night. I look forward to my next trip to Japan and hope I’ll get to stay there again. "

"Lovely stay at ryokan. Probably the biggest building around the area, not much going on outside and hard to navigate unless you are a local or speak japanese. Some staff speak english but google translate will be your best friend. Definitly book the rooms with private onsen, magical experience. "

"We spent two weeks in Japan, staying at several hotels and Airbnbs, and Moksa quickly became our favorite. The hotel is set on a stunning garden, and the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth. Compared to other places we stayed, Moksa offered spacious rooms with bathrooms completely separate from the showers, plus adorable, comfortable loungewear to wear around the property. We also loved the sauna and contrast therapy sessions, which were excellent value. This is absolutely a place I’d recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto."
