"Very clean, very beautiful and staff were incredible. My only critique is the mini bar. To me its an out dated design and a bit insulting, like your spending money to be there only to be met with auto charged drinks. Water is also given free so it’s a bit redundant. Besides that though! "Toyoko Hotels are usually great. They are clean, convenient, and affordable, and they tend to have lots of useful amenities or people who might have forgotten to bring something like a toothbrush or razor. This particular hotel has a really convenient location that's a short walk from several train stations and from a couple of very charming and pleasant shopping arcades. Miidera (三井寺) and Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) are also manageable walks. Otsu is a lovely and underrated city, and this hotel is in a really nice part of the city."
