Found someone's eyelash on a towel (like the one you stick on your eye). The AC suckkkkks. The breakfast is overpriced, flavorless and cold. It's also situated next to a grave yard. Staff are friendly and it's in a decent location to everything.

It’s a brand new hotel that was beautifully designed. The rooms are spacious and well- appointed and the amenities well-curated. It’s located in a quiet residential area and away from the high-traffic tourist areas but within easy walking distance to many areas of interest as well as to 2 train stations. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating, especially Ruby and Viola who welcomed us upon arrival and patiently answered our many questions. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is a nice hotel gear more towards international travelers. We stayed as a family on the first floor unit with the outdoor tub/garden for a week. In the hot summer, it is nice to have the free laundry included. The outdoor pool is a bit disappointing, we did not end up using it, since it is small and more like a bigger outdoor hot tub with cold water. Yet we like our own unit outdoor tub and the tiny garden. Location is decent with walking distance to a 7/11.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Kyoto and would absolutely recommend it to anyone, especially families. The rooms were impressively spacious, very clean, and had extremely comfortable beds—something we really appreciated after long days of exploring. The lobby coffee/hot chocolate machine was a great touch too, and the latte was actually really good! The staff truly made our stay exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. One of the best parts about this hotel is its location. It’s tucked away in a quieter, less crowded area, which made it feel peaceful and relaxing, yet it was still within walking distance to many attractions and great spots around Kyoto. Overall, a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and calm. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is relatively near Kyoto Station (20min walk or 13min drive). The rooms are clean, fairly spacious, and full of convenient amenities. In my room, there was a small desk, a futon bed, and a desk atop a tatami mat. Each bathroom includes a heated toilet, heated tub, and a shower. Room slippers are provided. The staff were excellent. They were very helpful throughout, going above and beyond. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were greeted warmly. The concierge explained the features of the hotel, making known that the laundry was available for free of charge, self-serve amenities were available in the lobby, and breakfast was available for purchase. Meanwhile, staff are available at the front desk from 7AM until 10PM (but on call at all hours). Luckily, the staff are also fluent in English, which made our stay very convenient. At the end of our stay, the staff allowed us to store our baggage after checking out and also assisted us with hailing cabs, loading out luggage into the cabs, and even held umbrellas for us in the rain. I’m pleased with my stay and would recommend the Kiyomizu Elite Terrace
