"We had a wonderful stay and our room was beautiful and newly renovated. They have an adults only pool which was a huge plus. Our only quibble was the lack of restaurant options, there was only one open one during our stay. Unfortunately there are no other restaurant or store options outside the resort that you can walk to. Otherwise it’s a beautiful resort with a very attentive staff. "

"Kona Palace is a comfortable, hillside haven convenient to many of the southern Kona Coast's natural attractions as well as shopping. Becca, the host, is full of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She serves wonderful breakfasts on her lanai with a view that extends to the western horizon -- sunsets on the ocean. The rooms are private and open to a large, nicely furnished common area. The house is in a quiet residential area on a large property. We especially enjoyed waking to birds singing"

"Beautiful island to visit for sure! The hotel is a residential place & some units are being rented out. So, it is not a hotel with full service. The location was great & facility has pools and tennis court. (Maybe some more) It is located by the ocean, so the sound of the wave is constant. Although the facility is old, it is well-maintained. Our room had everything we needed. Nice clean beds, clean bath (but the knob to start shower was VERY tight...), good size kitchen with big fridge & dish washer, lots of utensils, dish towel and paper towel, washer & dryer with a small bag of detergent (dryer has a huge buzzer noise when it's done! we jumped up from sofa!), beach towel. If you are a night time partier, this is not an island for you. Lots of restaurants closes early (like by 9pm) and day starts early (like outside work such as mowing starts at 7am). Also, the roads leading to the hotel is very dark in the night. It is safe property with gate & security. Staff members in the property were very nice & relaxed. You want to make sure that this is a residential place, so you want to respect your neighbors as you are at home. Over all, if you want to truly refresh your body, mind, & soul, this is a great place."

"Nice conditions to enjoy Hawaiian life and not isolated resort life. All fine: location a short walk to a good snorkel beach, popular with locals and surfers to mingle and join. Roomy, nice lanai with partial view to sea. Nice facilities and common areas."
