"The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in locating the best room for our preferences. In addition to the bedroom furniture, it seems that the hotel common areas and grounds have been recently remodeled. However the bathrooms, windows, and doors are in desperate need of an upgrade. The hotel is very close to the airport so it can be convenient but when the planes went overhead it was very loud, and the walls are so thin we could hear the people in the next room conversing. We were worried about the small window air conditioner not working well, but it cooled off nicely. "

We stayed here bc hotels.com didn’t actually make my reservation when I did so we found out on the flight from Seattle to Kona that we didn’t have a place to stay. 2 stars for hotels.com bc the customer service was helpful (this time) but this is the second time this has happened. "The room was big with everything we needed, including a kitchenette and a Terrace. From the Terrace we could see a sliver of the ocean. The bathroom was excellent with a walk in shower. There was no AC, but multiple fans did a great job of moving the air around. A big kitchen was available outside the units, where we could cook and serve and eat a full meal. Fresh fruits and veggies were provided from the site plantation. We really appreciate that. It was very enjoyable to spend time there. "

"I enjoyed my stay here. The place is one of a kind and each room is unique. I was reluctant at first because of the shared bathroom, but I never had issues when I needed to use it. There is also an additional bathroom outside that I didn’t read about or see until my last night. The outdoor hot tub and shower were all placed uniquely in the back of the property amongst nature. The location is super remote and takes some patience trying to find, but you stay here for that reason — off the beaten path. The grounds indoors and out were well maintained. The artwork at the entrance and books inside are provocative and edgy which matches the vibe of the place. The kitchen, dining area, living room and patio were spacious enough for those who want to be alone. Locks are provided on every room door for security. There is a house cat that lurked around. Not a fan, an allergic, but that was minor compared to the beauty of the place. Complimentary snacks are provided in the room, however some water in the kitchen for guests would have been good. Highly recommend "
