「Perfect location, can walk just a short walk to the ocean cliffs and sit and watch the ocean. You can even hear the waves at night from my room. Just a room with bed, microwave, fridge, and bathroom. Nice outdoor table area that is covered so you can eat outside. Highly recommend.」

「Christine is very communicative and this is a one of a kind property! The cats ate the best and the thoughtfulness of the design is top notch. We loved all of the ideas about where to go and what to do as well. We had to work a little to figure out how to cool down the rooms quickly but that was more us than the property :). You really felt like you got away from it all!」

「This was a wonderful small cottage that provided what we needed for our stay. We did run into a few issues with fire ants out on the patio table but you have to expect that in such a nature filled environment. The beach accessories were fantastic to have available. Not much air movement outside so some outside fans would be very helpful on hot days! We would definitely stay here again! 」

「Although I was unable to stay, my daughter stayed there and said it was quiet and private and the place felt loaded with history. She said when she first pulled up, she thought she was moving into a mansion. I wasn’t there, so I’m not sure until you book it and see it for yourself, Mahalo!」

「This was a great spot to stay as our home base while we explored the Big Island. Great location- central to everything we wanted to do on the Hilo side (about an hour from VNP, and within an hour of several waterfalls). Easily the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, and the added bonus of a gate made us feel safe and secure. If we return to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again! 」

「This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP.
