"We had a wonderful stay at the Volcano Forest Inn. The large room, access to the full kitchen/common area, the quiet location surrounded by the rainforest, and the private deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing visit. The inn has a great location just outside the national park. We were able to stop at several places before they became busy. There was a good amount of information on the area and a tv with current info on the volcano. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Overall,...

Inside the park, you can get a decent buffet breakfast at Volcano House. If you like fine dining, try Kilauea Lodge. A bit $$, but first-rate delicious!

Volcano is a very small town not much to offer except that it is right next to the National Park!

Dining in the town of Volcano is very limited, very expensive and mostly not very good.

Not much to do, see, eat or drink. Especially during a week day. But the lodge up the street had a lovely dinning room.

"It is hard to explain, but it is like a treehouse in the jungle. Beatiful flowers, bamboo, trees, ferns, and moss. Carlos was exceptional in answering questions and being feiendly! The beds are very comfortable and sheets were unbelievable. Everyrhing was an A+!"
"What a lovely nature retreat! Peace, quiet, birds. Super easy access to pop in and out of Volcano NP. The house is beautiful and the hot tub quite relaxing after a day of adventuring about the island."
"After the noise, craziness, and heat of Waikiki, this was a welcome relief. We were in Wolfie 3, one of 4 units nestled in the trees and the sounds of the Coqui frogs. The unit provides plenty of room for two with a separate bedroom, bath, and sitting room. A great location to be near the volcano. The local tap water isn't potable, but high quality bottled water is provided. A soothing spot. I'm bad at directions so had difficulty finding the check in place (beyond the hardware store) as well as the unit itself."
"This property was so cute and the perfect size for a couple. The proximity to Volcano NP is a highlight point! It’s exactly as described in the post and the dehumidifier was a game changer. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re back!"
