We loved staying at Ala Kai B&B. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They provided great dinner recommendations and places to visit. They also provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Our teenage daughter enjoyed having her own room.

Just WOW! This is the best VRBO I have ever booked. The place was too great and was better than we thought it could be. Not only was the house magnificent, but the grounds were like paradise. The host communicated when necessary, but was never overbearing. The location was perfect, with beach cliffs ...

Their property was relaxing and inviting. Best of all, I was happy that they were the owners and it wasn’t under a management ...

Why not spend a lazy afternoon at Ha'ena Beach during your trip to Keaau? Wander the seaside or discover the volcano viewpoints in this relaxing area.
Enjoy an outing to Hobby Garden Hawaii during your stay in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Wander the picturesque gardens and seaside in the area.
Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory is just one of the places to see in Keaau, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? Wander the picturesque gardens or discover the area's volcano viewpoints.

Small town charm and great food without the hustle of many tourists.
Very affordable area, lush tropical forest, close to Hilo,
This is the best way to see the big island. Skip the resorts and helicopter rides, rent a car, and just drive till you see something you want to visit. Plenty of things to see and do to fill a week+. Will be going back; hopefully soon.
It is a rather non descript small town.
Sadly we only spent one night at this location. We would have loved to have stayed more nights to see more of the sites.
Every was unique
