"We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels."

"Staff super friendly. Property is beyond gorgeous with so much greenery jungle like feel and all the wildlife. Buffet food is mid but if you’re able to make reservations to the other food options is great! Buffet/restaurant hours are weird so there are gaps where there is no food available, they should provide some food carts while they have those turnover closures."

"Great place to stay for a family of 4. Enjoyed the large separate rooms, great restaurants, pools, and nature trails. Beach was ok but the endless sargassum made the water unswimmable and really put a damper on the vacation (but it's no ones fault.) Really the only thing we didn't like was the location of our room, first floor looking out to a concrete wall with a noisy road on the other side. Would stay here again but would hope for a better view."

"Another great stay at Ocean Maya. Looked after by all our friends again Jojo at bar and David in restaurant and all staff in the Hacienda, La Dolce Vita and Blue. Unfortunately we were there during reconstruction of roof of El Charro so was a little noisy. All facilities in the hotel very clean and staff go over board to look after you. Will definitely be back."

"Our stay at Fairmont Mayakoba was exceptional from check-in to check-out. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, making our vacation truly memorable. We traveled with our small Pomeranian puppy and couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and pet-friendly experience. The room was spotless, with housekeeping service twice a day, which added to the luxurious feel of our stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, making the room a refreshing retreat after spending time in the beautiful Mexican weather. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are huge, impeccably maintained, and every detail is thoughtfully cared for. The staff is exceptionally polite—whether walking or riding around the property, they would always stop to let us pass and greet us with a smile. Throughout our stay, we did not experience a single negative moment. A special thank you to Tania at Reception and Ana from Housekeeping. Thanks to them, we felt welcome from the very beginning and truly taken care of throughout our stay. Their kindness and attention to detail made our experience even more special. This was an exceptional five-star resort experience, and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!"
