"A Truly Unforgettable Birthday Weekend at The Edition Kanai My family and I just returned from the most incredible weekend at The Edition Hotel in Kanai, celebrating both my birthday and my daughter’s birthday — and I can’t say enough about how special the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, the hotel’s beauty took our breath away. The property is stunning, the grounds are immaculate, and the pool area is kept so clean that it feels like a true oasis. What truly elevated this trip, though, was the extraordinary staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond, and their warmth is what made this stay unforgettable. A very special shout-out to Esther from Guest Services, who was absolutely exceptional. She catered to our every need with such grace, kindness, and attentiveness. Her responsiveness was unmatched — every message, every request, every question was met with immediate care and genuine concern for our family’s comfort. It was clear she truly cared about us, especially our children, and wanted to make sure our celebration was perfect in every way. From coordinating the beautiful birthday room décor to helping arrange every detail behind the scenes, she made us feel like we were her top priority the entire weekend. At the pool bar and restaurant, Hector was fantastic — warm, attentive, and always making sure we were taken care of. Angel, the manager, ensured every meal and every moment ran smoothly, and his team executed every detail. "

"Truly a five-star resort! Our room was amazing—always clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We loved the upgrade that put us just 100 yards from the beach and pool. The secluded outdoor hot tub and shower, connected to the indoor shower, were incredible and something we used every single day. We thought we would use the upstairs sitting area and private pool more, but since we were so close to the beach, we ended up spending most of our time there instead. The villa is about 0.9 miles from the main hotel, but it’s easy to get around using the bikes provided with the villa or by taking the shuttle. What a place! We typically stay at Fairmont hotels, but having a private villa instead of just a beautiful hotel room is something that would definitely bring us back again. The staff were all so kind, helpful and spoke English well. Banyan Tree truly has a warm and friendly team. The only thing to keep in mind is that food and drinks are expensive onsite. If you want a good, inexpensive meal, you’ll need to drive about 25 minutes into town. Just be prepared to spend as much—or even more—on food and drinks as you would at a five-star resort in Hawaii."

Their entertainment options were top-notch, with great live music and talented musicians, especially the guitarists. The food was delicious, and the customer service was attentive and friendly.
