"Arenal observatory lodge have many things to offer! The hiking trails, the views, the accommodation itself. I stayed in the Casona bungalow. Though it has a shared bathroom, it didn’t bother me at all. I actually think it has the best location within the property. It is facing the arenal lake and just on the left side is the volcano. "This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some."
