「Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart...

I am afraid to say this - because there are less than 15 rooms - I want it to stay my little secret BUT I have to say what a fantastic stay we had. 「This is a basic hotel. The rooms are a bit outdated, but the staff is nice. The pool is small with only four lounge chairs. You will need to walk to get to the beach - this hotel has a dock only. 」

「Staff at the property were lovely! You sort of get what you pay for, it’s nice they’ve made the effort to modernise the property but you can tell it’s still a little worn. But as mentioned you get what you pay for. One down side was the water ran really low on our last night, only to wake up the following morning with the toilet not flushing and no water coming out of any taps. I had to use a water bottle to get water out of the pool so the toilet would flush. 」

「The facility was great. Perhaps not a comparison with the best ones in hotel zones, but very quiet and refreshing and hospitality was great as well. Golf carts rental is not available near the hotel, so remember to rent one when arrived in the island if you plan to do so later. Will surely wish to stay again in the future. 」
