Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart beat.
Sweet alley of the hotel. Some noise during the day- but no issues at night.

Great location! You get a voucher for breakfast at Lorettas which is DELICIOUS and i cannot recommend enough. Beach there is gorgeous and staff is lovely. They let us check in early (yay) which was very accomodating and so kind and polite staff. Clean, comfy beds and great room. Only thing is a little bit overpriced for the room (no balcony or outside space) but besides that so good!!!

The room was nice, clean and quiet. We wished there was an outdoor space where we could have our coffee in the mornings. Kin Ha isn’t included at Casa Azul Maya anymore, which was a very family friendly beach club. The included club now is Loretta’s, which is very nice and the food excellent, though not as family oriented.

Casa Azul Maya is a beautiful little hotel located on the south end of Isla. The room was clean and the amenities were perfect. The included breakfast at Kin Ha is a big plus. Check in was so easy! Angel, the receptionist, was so kind and made the experience that much better. We loved our stay here!

This has been my family's second stay at Casa Azul Maya and we enjoy the large Isla room on the second floor. Plenty of space for our 3 kids to spread out. Air conditioners in all 3 rooms work well and you can tailor the temp to however you like. Off the beaten path so it's more quiet which is great for a family or couple looking to have a peaceful escape. The staff at Casa Azul Maya are incredible and take great care of you. Angel and Geo are incredible and make you feel like family. Their connection with Lorettas for breakfast and beach chairs is also so worth it. Will gladly be back again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. Have been to Isla many times, but this was our first time staying South Island. Our room was comfortable and roomy with many extras. Bonus was having a free breakfast at the affiliated KinHa Beach Club, where you can also spend the day enjoying the loungers and water toys. Several very good restaurants within a short walk. The whole area had a nice vibe and very chill. Highly recommend.

Thumbs up!

Office staff was amazing. They helped us book tours, golf carts and taxis. This hotel was in a less crowded part of the island and much quieter than some other areas. The room was quite big and very clean. We liked the resort across the street where we could swim, lay in the sun, and use their ocean kayaks and misc. other beach items. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back again!

Location was great. We walked to Punta Sur, the east coast footpath, and Kin Ha down the street for beach access. Loved the fantastic free breakfast off the menu at Kin Ha each day. Also really enjoyed dinners at Kin Ha. The hotel room was clean and efficient, which was what we were after. It was not luxury, nor a place to hang out beyond sleeping and showering, but we wanted to be out and about all day anyway, so this was what we needed. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating.

Very good, clean hotel. Spacious rooms and courteous staff. Excellent and free use of sun loungers, kayaks and snorkeling gears in Kin-Ha. Amazingly delicious breakfasts and a magnificent beach in Mayan Beach Club. The cost of a taxi is a maximum of 150 pesos to anywhere on the island. Come, check into this hotel and enjoy the sun, sea and delicious food. Highly recommended !!!

The staff was so polite and helpful. Big plus was breakfast and two beach clubs were included. The location was just perfect, on very quiet street , a-lot of good restaurants around. Punta Sur was 10 min walking distance. Love it, love it. Really enjoy my stay. Definitely will be back. Thanks to all staff members!!!

Most night had no electricity had to use flash light to pack before left. They said they had 24 hrs staff but they do not. This is way to far from central isla mujres. Would not stay here again. I would only give one star because the front desk lady was super nice. We had two room reservation and both rooms had severe mold. I am extremely allergic and my friends did not sleep through the night. Electricity also went out, but that's normal for that part of the island. There's also a trash dumpster nearby and the stench was pretty strong. They have so much work to do on the building.
