The front desk ladies were pleasant, along with some of the restaurant crew... but the "security" folks are hateful, dont smile, dont communicate, and just unapproachable. Bar is way too expensive for tenants. $4+ for a local beer???? come on!! We booked with you guys, make it pleasurable. Rooms were clean but no fridge. We had a good stay but will target a different place next time.

Breakfast is OK. It was kind of small portions. I was very surprised there wasn’t refills on our coffee and I have never seen that in my life Some of the weight staff was friendly and a few other others seemed like they didn’t enjoy their job jobs It was a great location very nice beach. I thought it was a great the way they had somebody rake up what little sarcasm there was. Too many cats for my taste The sushi restaurant across the street was wonderful The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful I thought the drinks at the bar were way overpriced. I don’t pay that much in the United States.

i’ve had a mixed dorm with all respectful people and clean. staff were very friendly and helpful and also reception people. just don’t forget to bring a lock for ur locker. no complaints are all. sending regards to all of them and i will go back there as soon as i can .

This has the potential to be an amazing spot. The rooms are nice with large balconies and nice amenities. However, there is music blasting every night, which can make it challenging to rest and relax. The staff were friendly and food and drinks were good. When I stayed there was a Somnia party happening - this was advertised to end at 11:30 pm, however that did not happen - music was blaring until after 1:30 AM, making it impossible to sleep, even with earplugs in - which made it so we were too tired to wake up early and enjoy our time the next day. I would only recommend staying here if you are ok partying late.

Leider war unser Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend. Das erste Zimmer im Dschungelbereich war extrem dunkel und wies mehrere Mängel auf (defekter Türknauf, Badewanne lief nur mit einem kleinen Rinnsal, keine richtige Dusche), sodass wir das Zimmer wechseln mussten. Auch der Service im Restaurant war sehr unaufmerksam. Es dauerte lange, bis man überhaupt bestellen konnte, und anschließend warteten wir häufig 30–40 Minuten auf das Essen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls enttäuschend: Beim angeblich inklusiven Angebot wurde sehr gespart (nur eine kleine Tasse Kaffee kostenlos, ansonsten Aufpreis, Wahl zwischen Kaffee oder Tee sowie zwischen Saft oder Früchten). Die Portionen waren sehr klein und die Qualität der Speisen eher schlecht und oft sehr fettig. Insgesamt leider kein überzeugendes Erlebnis.

The Mayan Monkey is a very attractive place located in the South of Isla Mujeres. It is very quiet, right on the ocean, but located far from nightlife and restaurants. A city bus or taxi can take you to the more active north part of the island. We paid for an included breakfast for 3 days. On the first day the service took more than an hour and the eggs we ordered over medium came back as sunny side up. The second day the eggs came back over hard. The third day we tried to cancel the breakfast but the manager refused to refund the money. They provided only 2 coffee pods for the in-room coffee pot for a 3 day stay and said we would need to pay if we wanted any more. The staff were very pleasant, however.

I found Mayan Monkey to be one of the very best resorts that I have stayed in Mexico. First the staff is consistently present, attentive, and working relentlessly to meet and anticipate your needs, from the front desk, service, and cleaning. Also,the nature of Hostel, Private, Dog friendly, and Beach club, creates a relaxed social atmosphere I found compelling. Someone said to me, " There are no strangers here, only friends you have not met yet!" So let's talk about the music from luve Saxiphone at late breakfast and evening, to the Saturday Night dance party, as good as anything ten timedls the population. The whole resort danced and danced. I would recommend Mayan Monkey to budget oriented travellors to experienced resorters, who want a middle ground. Isla Mujeres is the rest, Mexico chill. Thankyou Mayan Monkey. I will be back!

The room was okay, sheets were clean, leftover hair ties and hair stuck to shower wall. Brown stain on wall above bed and on curtains. Staff was very attentive and friendly, the grounds were well maintained and the beach was cleaned every morning. Biggest complaint was the food and drinks. After spending alot of time at other restaurants and bars on the island the food was sub par and the drinks lacked the liquor for the price you paid.
