The staff were very welcoming, they were very helpful with advice for getting around town and places to eat. They took care of everything we needed quickly, and were very friendly. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing! Right in the heart of the town, and right on the beach. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the rooms could use some updating. Overall we were very pleased with our experience, and had a great time

Love Ojo! It was my second stay, great location, clean, quiet, affordable. It's not fancy but I'm fine with that beause Im on the beach. Coffee makers in the room would be great. Bedside lamp would also be a welcome addition (they had them my initial stay but not this time).

My stay here was okay overall. The rooms look newer in the pictures than they are in real life and are a bit worn. The shower was very basic, but shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided. Towels were clean, and the beds were fine. The pool photos are misleading. The pool shown in the listing is not on the property, and the actual pool on-site is very basic. I was also charged an extra 100+ pesos at check-in for beach seaweed removal, which wasn’t mentioned beforehand. The best part of this place is the location. You’re on the beach within a minute, and beach chairs are free for guests (shade costs extra). You’re given a wristband to wear during your stay. There’s a bar on-site that serves food and drinks to the beach, which is convenient but pricey. There’s also a small convenience store nearby for cheaper drinks and easy access to bathrooms near the bar. Overall, it’s worth the money for the beachfront location. The beach is quiet and relaxing before noon and gets more crowded later, but it’s still much more laid-back than Cancun beaches. The staff was not a problem and the cleaning folks were out every morning making sure they were cleaning. I would recommend going out of that tourist area on the long road you entered from and go to the local park … there u will find tacos, quesadillas, and other restaurants that are much better and much cheaper. Good luck!

Room is as basic as they come, they are very strict with towels and would not under any circumstances give us any more than two a day for either the room or for the pool/beach.

Walk out to beach, 24/7 front desk, amazing food at beach club. Staff is bilingual and all needs were met. Pretty simple: beds, shower & beach.

I wouldn't even let a dog stay here. After viewing my room I went down to complain but no one was in the front room. My friends ended up taking me to their place down the beach for my entire stay in Mexico. The place is literally a dump. Blood stains on the matresses, stairs and in the hallway. Garbage, not bagged, just pulled up by the door. There was a window in my shower out to the hallway. I paid an additional 23.00, to supposedly have the beach kept clean, it was not clean much less swimmable or even approachable. I have photos I'd love to submit, but it doesn't allow for this option. I returned the nexted morning, letting them know I hadn't stayed there and would NOT be staying there. I also suggested Expedia take this location off their site as a place to stay. Never been so disgusted with a place

The furniture in the room was not in good condition and there was a very noisy pump outside which ran 24/7 and had no sound proofing. The staff were very courteous and helpful, the room was very clean and the location perfect

The front desk fellow was very nice and helpful. I liked the hotel but my husband did not like the loud partners on the beach who were singing loudly until 5 am. The unit did not have any toilet paper either! That was quite a surprise. Also, no elevator so not a good situation if one is carrying a heavy suitcase. The restaurant

The location is AMAZING - right on the beach! Friendly & helpful staff. Great communication with front desk :) Rooms are clean, simple, no frills. Comfy bed. Fabulous restaurant & piña coladas. Pillows a bit lumpy. Hot water 95% of the time. Air conditioner & tv works great. No complaints. Good price. Thanks for having us :)
