I loved staying here. The turquoise accents in the room really made it feel I like the ocean. I could see the beautiful pool in the ocean from my window. It was just a short walk to the beach. I will definitely stay here again!

Clean room and great location. The hotel could use some simple maintenance that would improve the first impression- paint the lobby and hallways, exterior landscaping at the entrance. Meets the basic needs of travellers and family’s who want close access to the beach and restaurants

Ocean view with bird droppings, but a heavy rain cleaned the window. Three stories up with no access so they can't do much about it. Very basic, not even a cup in the room to brush teeth no potable water. There is soap and shampoo in luke warm shower. Good restaurant right there its all ok for the price because beach is steps away.

Perfect location on the beach. Perfect short walk to all the restaurants and shops and main town. The property itself needs updating. No closet or drawers. Very friendly staff. Restaurant on the beach and massage on the beach was awesome

I will like to get my obey back for the first night’s stay as I have pictures of the awful conditions there. The staff was totally unprofessional. However the manager gave me a room on the bottom floor since I have mobility problems and use a walker. The agent who initially checked me in wanted to charge me an upgrade although I paid the highest price for each room at $150 plus tax each night. The “upgrade”‘had a giant roach, lines across the TV screen, as well as rust on desk chair and refrigerator. I can send pictures for proof of what I just said. Prices this week there is a fraction of what I paid. Terrible customer service until I finally met with the manager the following afternoon. I really did not enjoy my stay there because I had to deal with so many problems. O want to officially make a complain to resolve this terrible problem at this hotel. Huge water roach in my room!
Rusted furniture and refrigerator
No safety deposit box working in any room.
Pool is dirty and chipped. No one ever used it as I experienced it. Things floating on the water and very murky.

The room was clean, decent price and being right on the beach was fantastic. My only complaint was the hotel collecting an environmental tax (it's not what the tax is for) it's that Expedia states all taxes included in price. That's on Expedia as well as the hotel.

It is a very bare bones place. It has the basics. There are two properties, the one closer/attached to the beach club seems better. Try to stay there if you can- it seems like it would be better. The beach club situation is very strange. They sell a lot of day passes to anyone so it is not guaranteed that the hotel guests will get a chair. Get a massage from Jonattan at their spa- this was the highlight of the trip. He is excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ojo de Agua. The front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. The hotel is situated right on the beach and has lounge chairs for guest use and a restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks. Margaritas on the beach…it doesn’t get much better than this!

The difference between the photos and the actual room were remarkable. The room was really quite disgusting. Rust on towel bars, black mold on floor. The bedding was gross and pillows were throw pillows with pillow cases. You have to pay to get a beach umbrella and the beach chairs are in terrible conditions. If I could have cancelled, walked away or found another place, I would have. We were here for one night. If I was here for a week. I would have left. How this place has a positive rating is beyond me. Don’t believe the pictures. Expedia….can I get my money back?
