We loved the location of our room. We had a view of the ocean and were close to everything. The staff was fun and personable. We enjoyed the variety of activities as well.

Overall, we really enjoyed the resort. Our chill out suite was beautiful and had everything we needed. The property is in great condition and felt like it was new. I guess we were lucky in our timing of when we went because the beach was clear and perfect. When there was some seaweed that washed up on shore, there were people constantly cleaning it. We only used the pool once for the aqua fit class. The water temperature seemed perfect. The hot tub wasn’t really hot so we would have liked it to be a little warmer and maybe one more hot tub rather than just one. It was more like a small warm pool. The service from the staff was great. Our only criticisms were that there was not a lot to do. It was perfect for a four day getaway, but we wouldn’t wanted to have been there any longer because we would find ourselves getting bored. They don’t have tons of activities to keep you busy throughout the day although we were happy with the few things we participated in such as guacamole making and aqua fit. We would’ve loved to have done the yoga, but it was a little too early for us in the morning. We wanted to sleep in. The food was good at the restaurants, but personally, I would’ve preferred one buffet open during the afternoon. Rather than having to sit formally and order and be served and then find out I didn’t love the food and had to wait for another order to arrive. I didn’t mind the restaurant for dinner though. The food was pretty good. I would definitely go back to this resort

The resort was wonderful, the staff was exemplary, from Emilio at the beach house, Betsy the activity coordinator, Miguel our concierge and Angel the valet who really helped us when our transport from MTS shuttle service (which we also booked through Expedia’s under their name speedy shuttle), failed to show up as they went to the incorrect resort and then refused to come get us. Angel immediately helped us and got us a taxi to the airport. The rooms were spotlessly clean thanks to our housekeeper Olga, the food was excellent as were the drinks which use prime alcohol all the name brand you could think of were available. The beach was perfect cleaned and there were beach chair as well as pool chair available. Their coffee shop was wonderful with fresh coffee, and special coffees made daily and lovely muffins and pastries there were so many wonderful things about this resort. We loved it there and hope to return. We loved it was a smaller resort and the care of the staff made this holiday truly wonderful.

We loved this resort very clean, amazing staff , great food and views. I loved the activities planned and nightly entertainment. When we were there they were at full capacity but you wouldn’t know it lots of space for everyone. Definitely we will be back. Thank you for everything!

We were left waiting for a room after booking online for over 6 hours. The reception acted as we were unimportant and causing them inconvenience. Then we did not receive the room we booked.

We enjoyed the warm welcome with Pina colada popsicles and fast check in. Very clean rooms and beach as sea weeds are removed daily by staff. We enjoyed the fun activities arranged by Itzel and Betzie, including Margarita rally, foam party, paddling board, and card games. Excellent food quality. Food was a la carta instead of buffet for lunch, which was great as it was served fresh, but anticipate a bit of wait at the international restaurant. It has 3bars so no need to wait for long to get a drink. Drink was sometimes a lot more juice than actual drink at the end of the day. I felt like the restaurant staff were overworked from early morning to midnight which was not fair to them

I honestly don’t know where to begin. We have stayed at approximately 20 different resorts in Mexico, hands down THE BEST one yet. CLEAN, lovely rooms, comfortable beds, the food…. OMG! It was delicious… every single thing we had was great! The staff… absolutely amazing! The beach and multiple pools are spectacular. We will be returning for sure!

Bars had limited hours and closed earlier than advertised. No buffet everything was a sit down and was a big ordeal to eat an 1-1.5 every time you wanted to eat. I like my buffets where you can grab and go quick. Not every meal has to be sit down and if you didn’t like what was in the limited menu as options you were out of luck. Entertainment was very limited as well. It’s a place for seniors 75+ or people who go to bed with the chickens.

We stayed at the Cancun resort - the family site with the beach The Riviera Maya site is adults only with no beach (yet). I will repeat what others have said; the staff are phenomenal. Attentive to any request. Everyone is professional and works very hard. Service with a smile, and on two occasions I noticed they were utmost polite even when guests were being very rude to them. Rooms, pools, and entire resort very clean. I especially took note of the team that gets up before dawn and works through to the sweltering midday heat to clear any seaweed that washes up on shore - back-breaking work. The food is excellent. The produce and seafood is especially fresh. Of the four restaurants, Beach House is our favourite. Rita's Taco Lounge is a fun alternative for lunch, offering several unique margaritas. For dinner, if not Beach House, we preferred The Latino to Frank's Italian, but both are excellent. I had so many memorable meals, but in the end my favourite was the grilled octopus from The Latino. All the soups at all the restaurants were outstanding. After a week, we had a chance to explore much of the menus, but wish we had one or two more week to taste everything. That said, we left every meal uncomfortably full, having been allowed to order as much as we wanted. If I had asked the staff to roll me out of there, I'm sure they would have obliged. We would 100% return here again, and we recommend this resort to anyone.

This resort had it all! This is one of the smaller resorts we’ve been to and I can’t say enough good things. First of all, the staff is amazing!! Everyone and I mean everyone smiles and greats you. They take the time to make sure that you have what you need and taken care of, room service especially. The bartenders are awesome (shout out Elbert) and pour great drinks. The check in was smooth, plenty of pools, and great activities. Will definitely come back!

The food is incredible compared to other resorts, à la carte restaurants first come first serve no reservation needed and you will always be seated. The staff is so friendly, kind and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. Beautiful beach, and a lot of places on the resort to lounge. If you’re looking for a destination for pure relaxation, and great food, this is the spot!

Very well kept property. Staff was always there to see to what ever you needed. Judith made sure are room was always clean. Emilio was the best, always greeted us with a friendly smile. Food was delicious especially Rita’s tacos.

The Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancún vibe is very relaxed and the place was spotless. Staff without exception were great starting with an "ask" on checking in that was accomodated followed by room service as were arrived later in the evening. The pool was a bit chilly as weather during our week was chilly too but we enjoyed each of the restaurants, the spa and used a bali bed on the beach for our last full day (really worth it if we join family/grandkids there next time!) Thank you to all the staff that made this an awesome trip!
