"Clean room. Most of the staff are nice and helpful especially Mr. Yamamoto. He is very nice and considerate. One of the day we stayed was raining heavily and our shoes got wet. He worried that we'd be cold and took the initiative to lend us an electric kettle to boil water."

"My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we loved it especially the roof top views is gorgeous, they offer welcome tea and snack by the same floor of roof top (8th F), we were lucky it was sunny on the day went up the rooftop and felt very chill enjoying the town and water while enjoying the afternoon tea time. We booked this private bath tub half outdoor room and we really enjoyed soak the hot springs whenever we like. The only thing I would suggest is the hotel could provide shuttle service for in and out the Atami station or town center, it is about 1 mile (20 mins walk). "

"Room clean and staff were very helpful but the stairs to my room on the top floor was hard and the public bath was too small. I picked this place for the shuttle and the public bath /onsen but was disappointed, return shuttle did not run at 8:30 am so had to ask for a taxi back to the station to meet a friend coming from Tokyo to play golf. "

"Got there one hour early sitting in the lobby without good lighting and fresh air. That’s ok. The entrance of the room is not clean with 8-9 dark spots on the floor. Needs to be cleaned before next customer. Customer must know the room has no shower, has to go to public pool for bathing, that’s Ok for me. I didn’t have problem. The inn is very close to station walking 8-9 min if you are very healthy otherwise the stairs climbing could be challenging. Only one face towel and shower towel in the room. General speaking it needs lot of improvements. "

"This hotel was fine for the price, and would probably be willing to stay here again, but this is not what I would call a "nice hotel." The whole house is quirky, feels a little unfinished, and the walls are thin so you can hear people moving around in the house at all hours. Our beds were comfortable, and it was nice that the room had a mini fridge, microwave, and sink. There is also a shared kitchen. Upon arrival, we were charged an extra 200 yen per person per day for the hotel tax, and an extra 300 yen per person per day for access to the onsen. We were fine paying this, but it was a little bit of a surprise, especially because there was no alternative way to bathe/shower. The onsen was the highlight of this hotel for us. It is a private bath that comfortably fit two of us, which was romantic and relaxing. "

"I would come back. Room was great, but surprised there was no bathtub in the room, since it is in the photos. I would have paid more for that had I known. View is incredible, and worth it for that alone. The onsen is fine, but not overly exceptional. The staff is excellent with heartfelt delivery. It’s a cab ride up the hill, and nothing is close, but again, the view is worth it and very romantic. Food is mostly buffet, and just okay, but serviceable. Go for the romantic stay and exceptional staff."
