Loved the Authentic Experience!

What a delightful hostel with ryoken style rooms and a beautiful onsen. The views were also wonderful of the sea! Great service, great place and accessible to the train station, too!

Always look for this place

Third time of staying in Atami and also third time in Guesthouse Megumi. Fantastic location - try to book when the fireworks festival is on in mid-July, as you get a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. The private rooms are simple with shared bathroom/toilet, but that doesn’t bother me. Will stay here again for sure.

We had to pay to use the public bath but we wnded up not using it was not to the best standard. Very convenient for walking to the center of the town. It had a few parking spaces and we were grateful for that too. However it is a pay service.

Good place for leisure trip or honeymoon

A spacious room with sea view. Common dining room comfortable with lots of choice of drinks and sea view. Onsen wonderful. Owner is very nice and can speak mandarin. Close to train station, though needs to climb up a steep alley.

It’s cheap and convienient to the station. It says bed with loft but the room we were in was a bunk bed. Sheets were horrible and they don’t even give you a full pillow sheet so by the time you get up the half sheet is off the pillow. You have to pay for everything like towels and yukata. Really limited hours in the tub. The breakfast for 500 yen is a joke, bowl of rice and tea. Only go if all others are booked. Spartan at best.

Basic - need to pay extra for towels, pool etc

This is a very basic place. Elevator is inop. Good luck to you if you are on the third floor with luggage. Annoying that you cannot check in before 3pm strictly. Not even to put your bags inside your room. Walls are paper thin so if you have noisy people next door. You won’t get any sleep.

Hotel Owner rejected me to stay

I would like to make a complain.First I message to inform him that I will be late check in,but after it he said late check in will be charge extra first I didn't see the statement from Expedia. At last after I talk with the owner .His attitude are so rude to me,he refuse to let me stay after I mentioned to pay extra,I requested for refund money because I already paid to Expedia .But he rejected, he not allowed to me stay and he said I do not leave the hostel ,he will call police .This is the first worst experience I met . Hope Expedia will take action with it .If not I will post into social media for this hotel bad reputation .I requested to refund the hostel payment because I am not allowed to stay since I am paid .

Je n’avais jamais vu ça de toute ma vie Et j’ai plus de 59 pays de fait Une obsession de changer les sandales On doit se déchausser en arrivant Prendre la paire de sandales beige pour marcher dans l’hôtel Mais si on veut aller sur la galerie il faut changer pour des sandales gris bleu Et si on va à la salle de bain Et bien là on change encore pour des bleus Incroyable J’étais avec mon conjoint sur la terrasse pour voir les feux d’artifice et le propriétaire est venu avec une lampe de poche pour voir si j’avais les bonnes sandales Il me les a fait changer Je me sentais espionner Ce qui n’est pas normal Une vraie obsession de sa part Le petit déjeuner a seulement un choix On n’a aucune serviette quand on va à la salle de bain Je suis extrêmement déçu
