"Rooms were clean and had air conditioning. Staff were friendly and were able to speak English allowing for easy check-in/out. Amenities did include a private bath that could be reserved. It was a short walk from Kyoto station which was great for commuting."

"Breakfast was amazing and the tranquility is breath taking. Will definitely book again. Great value for money. Only thing is rooms need updating but still absolutely old world feel which is good. Very clean!"
"The rooms were big and comfy, the onsen was also really relaxing. My only concern was there was no ice bath to cool off in but other than that it was very nice. They offer free ice pops as well which was amazing. The massage chairs however were always occupied so we didn't get to use them. The pillows and mattress are also very firm but surprisingly we would wake up with no back pain. In terms of closeness, it's about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. We really enjoyed our stay here regardless"
